I am the Executive Director and founder of Homes for Hope, Inc.
Each year since its founding, I wondered why we still existed. We have struggled financially and at times have come close to closing our doors for lack of support. But, on a day when my fulltime job was demanding more than I could give, a floral arrangement came to my desk. I was genuinely shocked that it was for me. It came from a client who was homeless when he came to us. He was now employed and living independently. He wanted to thank me for all that we had done for him to make him more secure with himself and motivated to do all he could to become independent.
That made every moment of hardship seem so small and unimportant. We strive to help the homeless get on their feet. And, for at least one, we made a difference.
Homes for Hope remains dedicated to helping the homeless , chronically ill person move to social, emotional , medical and financial independence. I want to pat the backs of my dedicated staff.
