This organization charged me an adoption fee for an animal they never had in their possession. I rescued with a friend. I now own the dog and he has been fully vetted which I paid for. Additionally they do not provide good care for their animals. I have personally seen a dog left out all day in over 90 degree temperatures with no water. When I asked why I was told she made too much mess in water bowl. There are board listed who are no longer on her board and I have spoken with them and they tell me they left due to mismanagement of 501 funds.

I found a "kitten" on petfinder that was at homeless halos animal rescue. She was listed as being 4-5 months old. When I got there, it was clear to me that she was much older than that. She was a sweet cat so I took a chance, brought her home and to my vet. He informed me after exam that she was probably around 8 years old. She was very thin and only weighed 5 lbs, her teeth definitely showed age. She was not getting along at all with my other cats and dog, so we brought her back to them. They were pretty adamant she was a young cat... but oh well, I trust my vet's opinion more than theirs.According to homeless halos contract, you can return their animal to them and get your adoption fee back. Well, it took them a couple weeks to send me a check in the mail. And to my "surprise", it bounced. I tried to call them and email them about my refund, and they are not answering of course. So adopter beware...

This organization is AMAZING! We adopted two kittens from Homeless Halos and the experience was wonderful. The animals are well taken care of, the facilities are extremely clean, and the staff (Beverly and Jim) were simply wonderful. They answered all our questions and you could tell that they truly loved all their animals.

We have been to numerous animal shelters and this is BY FAR the best. If I was to adopt another animal, I will definitely go to Homeless Halos.

I can't express how much I was "awed" by Homeless Halos. Walking away from it, I kept racking my brain to figure out a way that I could support them more. With more monetary donations, the impact Homeless Halos could/would be HUGE!
