Programs: Homeless awareness week:187 volunteers685 homeless people servedbackpack distribution: with over 600 reccipients and nearly 200 volunteers, we assembled, transported and distributed over 400 backpacks filled with toiletries, hygiene products, dental products, sun screen, lip balm and caps to the homeless in and around the largest homeless shelter in the state of arizona, c. A. S. S. Make 1, take 1, give 1 project: we brought schools, students and parents together in a collaborative effort to provide food to the homeless, while educating both students and parents about the homeless crisis in their community. Non-perishible food items were brought to the schools so that the students could assemble bags of food. We taught the students the purpose of the bags and how they could distribute them. The bags were then sent home eitht the students to discuss with their parents so that they could collectively, as a family, distribute the bags to a homeless person in their neighborhood. Veteran's project: we spent the day fixing meals, serving food, providing haircuts, playing games and recognizing the veteran's service to our country. The event was held at the james walton home/veteran pride, a homeless shelter for veterans.

Volunteers washed hair, provided haircuts, facial hygiene cleansing, nail cleaning,manicures and nail polishing. We provided them with backpacks filled with supplies, new tennis shoes and a motivational speaker. We also served lunch to over 350 homeless people.

help on the streets10 volunteers85 homeless people servedin order to serve our homeless community on the street, we have taken women (and in some cases women with children), who were in a crisis situation off the street and placed them in temporary housing. Depending on the issues, we worked to stabilize the immediate crisis, working on a plan to move through the challenge which created the homelessness while providing meals. This help can range from a week up to 120 days in which housing is provided. During this time, we work closely with other organizations, governmental agencies and volunteers to help assist the person through their season of homelessness. We strongly believe these annual projects, along with our on-going year round service in our community, is making an impact not only in our homeless community, but also inspiring and educating many of all ages to understand and embrace how their contribution can and does make a difference with the homeless crisis we are experiencing.
