HomeAid Atlanta helps so many organizations in the Atlanta area, and gives people from the home building industry - and the community too - a simple way to assist many different organizations instead of just one. When people support HomeAid Atlanta, their gift helps many different agencies and makes the money go further as well. I have been with HomeAid for almost a decade, and it is wonderful to see all the groups we help and work with so many fantastic donors and volunteers! HomeAid Atlanta does important work for the good of so many!

During my three year association with HomeAid I have been constantly reminded of three things; the deep suffering and physical and emotional stresses endured by those facing homelessness on a daily basis; their strong desire to turn their lives around and finally; the broad range of support networks fighting to help these people improve their lives. But these support networks also need help. This is where HomeAid comes in. With our support networks we are able to do what homebuilders do best- build housing. Finally, it is important to understand that support comes in many different ways; including donating money, material, expertise or volunteering at one of the organizations fundraising events. We are partnering with Homeaid Atlanta on building a shelter for homeless and abused women in the east Atlanta area. They are extremely disaplined and responsive to our request. As a builder during very difficult times this is even more important in order to finish our task and save time and money.

HomeAid Atlanta is a very special organization of which I am proud to be affiliated, both professionally through Monte Hewett Homes and personally through the donation of my time. HomeAid has many programs, events and other ways for local builders and their employees to get involved and have a significant impact on the lives of the temporarily homeless in Atlanta. They continually add and change programs to find ways for people to be involved at any monetary/time commitment level. The Essentials for Young Lives drive, which collects essential items for homeless babies and toddlers, is the event i look forward to most every year.

Great local and hands on local charity. They have a keen interest in their mission and provide direct support to families in need of transitional housing. We've been involved for 4 years with their Project Playhouse fundraiser. It creates a lot of awareness and its impact in immediately felt. We hope and plan to participate in the future.
