economics (as a social science) research: held an annual conference attended by scholars from around the world. (180 number of attendees) we also jointly sponsor the allied social science associations annual meeting. (200 conference attendees)
economics (as a social science) research: we sponsor an online working paper series in conjunction with the social sciences research network.

The society sponsors a number of awards: the dorfman prize for the best dissertation, the best article award, the spengler book prize, and the distinguished fellow award. We also support a young scholars program designed to make it possible for graduate students to attend our annual conference. Finally, we provide grants to universities and research organizations to support new initiatives in the history of economic thought, including ad hoc conferences and archival research.
