Mission: To preserve an existing region historically dedicated to the promotion and support of the arts by advocating for affordable living for artists, facilitating communications, bringing art awareness to surrounding areas, supporting independently owned local businesses, and promoting safety, environmental conservation, local history, and community identity.
Programs: Noda news. Providing an amplified voice for community businesses, local artists, regional history, volunteer recognition, and other community issues. Printed version is delivered door-to-door to 1800+ residents and 20+ businesses monthly, with 500+ monthly direct downloads. A local marketing firm presents a coherent identity on social media, with a growing following.
drinks & thinks (4). Focusing community discussion on educational topics including history, environment, and art. Four events were held in this series of lectures led by local experts and university professors, free to the public.
historic walking tours. Educating residents and visitors on the history of the community, from mill village to arts district. Walking tour lasts 1 hour and requires 10 volunteer tour guides in shifts. Over 1000 people attended this year's tours.
