I have attended many varied events at Highfield Hall, including author's talks, musical events, cooking demonstrations, art shows, flower show, holiday events including the Holiday Ball, Arbor Day which brought school children to the grounds, as well as fund raising for Highfield and events held on the grounds of Highfield for other organizations. My observation is that all who attend these events are enthusiastic and grateful that the Town of Falmouth has such a unique place for all residents and visitors to enjoy.
I have been a volunteer at Historic Highfield since it opened to the public four or five years ago. I like "working" there for several reaxons: the elegant beauty of the house and grounds, the dedication and creativity of the staff, the enthusiasm and appreciation of the visitors, and the combination of a sense of history and present day vitality. I also enjoy attending some of the cincerts, lectures and other programs offered - it's just an interesting and worthwhile plsce to be.
Historic Highfield Hall is beautiful restored mansion in Falmouth, Ma.
Since it's restoration and re-opening in 2006, Highfield has presented numerous events for the public. These include lecture and music series, cooking demonstrations, Holidays at Highfield, art classes and much, much more. The building is beautifully and loving maintained and one is greeted upon entering the foyer by a knowledgeable volunteer. Hundreds of visitors come through the front door each year. The warmth and charm of this gracious "lady" entices you to return again.
