I called people for donations on Give Miami Day and I really enjoyed my time. I believe this organization is very well organized and truly cares.
I have been volunteering with His House Children’s Home for a couple of years now and their staff make such a difference with the community. All the events they have that I’ve been able to volunteer at have made an impact on the organization greatly. I went to the hearing they had with the government recently (to officially purchase the land they are on) and the support that His House has from the community alone shows how many people see the impact they do and want to continue to make a difference!
I have been a volunteer with His House since 2017. I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate with other volunteers in educational activities with the children. Seeing their drive to learn and their curiosity is truly inspiring and makes me all the more committed to continuing to support them. His House is a great environment for the foster children and for volunteers alike. We create beautiful memories that are not only special and enriching for the children, but also very fulfilling for us.
As a volunteer, physician, and expert in the work of nonprofit organizations who care for children, both nationally and internationally, I can sincerely say that His House Children’s Home is the greatest example of a deeply caring, well-run, and impactful organization in the care of foster children and youth.
In all my years volunteering and conducting humanitarian missions in our country and abroad, I have never encountered a place like His House. His House is a true Haven for children who have been abused and trafficked, a sad reality that we deal with in South Florida. I have experienced firsthand their unwavering commitment to the well-being and nurturing of the children, as well as to their safety and privacy.
Something that has always impacted me when I visit His House, is the fact that the children’s homes are always impeccably clean and organized. The rooms are personalized with items that hold value to each child, pillows that have their names, and such a beautiful sense of warmth and well-being permeates the environment. Each home has social workers who function as true parental figures to the children. Every interaction among them I have witnessed to be kind, warm, respectful, while also instilling in the children a sense of responsibility and purpose. The children live happily in an environment with other children, displaying camaraderie and mutual respect.
I always share with all my friends and my community the incredible treasure that Miami has in His House. I am also saddened by the fact that there are not many places like this which could serve so many more children in need of this loving care in Florida and our country.
Since its beginnings over 30 years ago, His House has earned the respect and trust of members of the community and its institutions. Prior collaborations have supported important additions to the grounds of His House, helping make the lives of the children all the more joyful and purposeful. This includes playgrounds and even their own organic garden, where the children enjoy laughter and play, while also learning sustainability skills and gain an appreciation for nature. Their wellness center is another example of how His House has been focusing its human power and resources into truly creating an environment where every child’s needs are attended and children can recover from prior trauma from the past, allowing them to incorporate themselves into a well-structured home environment, such as is provided in every home on the premises of His House.
His House is a true bastion of care and love for the children in our community who are in greatest need of a safe and protective environment. I am blessed to contribute to their incredible mission, receiving in return the satisfaction of helping make the lives of our foster children better.
I Love his house and all that they do there! It’s my first year volunteering and I can’t wait to continue some more !
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to volunteer at His House. I had the amazing opportunity to be a helping hand at this amazing organization through potential church. I was given the task of painting and remodeling the teen boys home. It was such an honor to be a part of something so special. Although I never got to see the expression on these kids faces when they saw all the work that was done, I know for a fact that they were overjoyed with happiness. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers that help to make a difference in these children’s lives ❤️
I have been volunteering at His House for almost six years now. I keep going back because at His House, you directly see the change you are making in these children’s lives. There are so many options of how you can contribute so it is easily accessible to so many volunteers. I am currently away at college in Ithaca, New York but am remotely working on a service project from here. While home, I have done in person service with the actual homes and many Christmas/school preparation drives. These have included a wide range of items like sneakers, uniforms, notebooks, pencils, toy cars, teddy bears, games, and even just kind letters. It has been such a rewarding process to volunteer at His House and I plan to return for years to come!
I volunteered at His House Children's Home and it was a wonderful experience. The staff works hard to continuously provide the children with special experiences that help bring a smile to their faces. It is an organization worth supporting!

His House is an amazing organization helping kids of all ages find a home and a family. His House is making a great difference in our community by reaching to our most vulnerable and needed population. I had the pleasure to volunteer in a few occasions and the love and dedication of His House employees and other volunteers touched my heart.

Great Organization! Having had an opportunity to volunteer for this great charity, I found myself wanting to continue to find ways to help donate whether it’s my time, donating furniture or by monetary giving. I had the pleasure to meet many of the staff members. I walked away knowing that the staff truly cares about the children that come through the doors day in and day out. The staff is tirelessly trying to find ways to find donations. Please help His House spread the word!

I’ve volunteered at His House Children’s home and they constantly doing an exceptional work with the children and teens along the years I been know them!
This is an institution which has a goal that deserves to be supported.
I am honored and proud to collaborate with them as a volunteer to help to make a little happier all the children they take care of.
For about three years prior to the pandemic, I have volunteered at His House Children's Home. First I organized and brought a science program to the homes where rotating professionals volunteered their time to teach fun science experiments and motivate the children after school in their homes. Then in the last couple of years I visited the in-house school for the international children two days a week and assisted in the mathematics classes for the entire day. Therefore, I have had an opportunity to interact with the children and with the staff on a regular and intimate basis. I can not say enough about the caring heart of all the staff and the way they treat the children as well as the actual facilities. They are clean and well kept. But most of all, they are filled with love for the kids.
I volunteered at His House and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my Christian life. It’s Jesus centered values can be felt from the love shared among all staff and contributors.
