Programs: Mission: serving local churches to minister in the area of mental wellness, through prevention, intervention and restoration. (1) the foundation provides mentoring services to elementary-age students struggling with negative behavior or social skills, utilizing volunteer mentors from local churches. Our research based mentoring focuses on building positive character traits and success skills, helping students to perform better in the classroom and prepare for their life ahead. Mentors are trained and go through a background check. All mentoring occurs on-site at the student's school. 50 students were served in 2017. Serving title 1 schools is one of our key goals. See following statement for continuation. . . (2) the foundation partners with churches of varying denominations to provide counseling referrals and mental health education. We vet christ-centered christian counselors, research insurance and financial options and match clients with a counselor who specializes in the area of their need. Our mental health education is focused on breaking the stigma of mental illness among christians through online education and encouragement. In 2017 we served 170 clients through referrals, over 3000 individuals through our online resources, partnered with 44 christian counselors and formed a coalition of 23 partner churches. This organization has gone above and beyond for myself and others that I know. They provide resources and information to help someone connect with counseling and mental health support. They have a Christ focused heart and deep desire to support the local church community. Specifically in the areas of mental wellness and prevention, intervention and restoration. I am very thankful for this Non Profit and their willingness to come along side of me during this season. Thank you.
