I have been a board member for the past three years and it has been a wonderful experience. We are working to inspire every Jewish student at the University of Chicago to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life--it's an ambitious goal, but with an ambitious and innovative director, we are well on our way toward our goal.

I have been the chair of a variety of Jewish organizations, all of which have been leaders in their field. I am particularly proud of having served on the board of the Newberger Hilel Center at the University of Chicago, which is breaking new ground in exploring how to reach every Jewish student on campus with meaningful Jewish experiences. I believe the Jethro Initiative at the University of Chicago Hillel is crafting a new replicable model for engaging every Jewish college student in exploring Judaism and finding a place for it in their lives. The program also has found a way to prepare talented future leaders for the Jewish Community.

The Newberger Hillel at the University of Chicago is an exciting, innovative, and welcoming community. I am very grateful to have been a part of this community for the past four years.
