They were amazing and helpful to work with. I help run a monthly community food pantry and we wanted to also provide our guest with books for themselves and their children. When we reached out to Hidden Gems they were all for collaborating with us! They provided us hundreds of books for our guests, we held an amazing book fair during our pantry. We are so grateful for all they were able to do to support the community!

Hidden Gems is exactly what it is, you never know what you will find in their little book store. I love my vintage books and have found a few gems there. Kaila,Raymond and their son Truth always make you feel so welcomed at their store. They provide free books to community and putting books back into our children's hand. The Hidden Gems are the best kept secret in NJ. They have helped the community in ways that can’t even be put in words. I hope that they are blessed in ways I can’t even imagine because they truly deserve it.

I knew Kaila & Ray were ‘going to make it’ bc they were so special… from the beginning of their journey! Along with ‘Freecycle East Brunswick’… I worked tirelessly with them for weeks, collecting books from the community. I wasnt completely sure ‘where this was all going!”- but look HOW FAR THEY’VE Gotten !!! They are reaching so many different underserved communities, not just in New Jersey, but their dream is across the entire US by their ‘BOOK MOBILE CAMPER!’ Their appearance on GMA has led to countless other interviews & speaking appearances at Rutgers University, their REACH is endless!!! *****

Hidden Gems Literary Emporium can be likened to the light at the end of the tunnel. Located at Above Art Studios in New Brunswick, NJ this organization is a nice and unexpected compliment to the art gallery. Kalia and her family are living breathing art. I dare anyone to take 5 minutes out of their day to discover their next favorite FREE book, inspiration, and laugh that will last throughout their day. It’s my prediction that the passion that this organization has for literacy will last for generations because they do not hesitate to share the love. Between their book giveaway tours and events stories of all kinds are making a comeback!
This quintessential library marks the beginning of a national movement of literary and free books for all. My experience there was warm and welcoming. I recommend that all should visit and experience for yourself.

I love Hidden Gems Literary Emporium!! They are on a mission to spread love to the world through reading. Every year Hidden Gems does a 1000 free book tour. Ray, Kaila, and Truth travels from New Jersey to Florida to distribute books at schools, libraries, and various communities, along the way!!! This family owned nonprofit bookstore is an huge asset to not only their community but communities all over the US.

They give books to anyone and everyone who they encounter, and are active participants in many community events, in addition to hosting their own. Hidden Gems is one of the reasons I moved to New Brunswick! this family is so kind and welcoming, the bookstore is accessible and the gallery is really lovely.
