Mission: The Hickory Landmarks Society''s mission is to preserve the architectural and cultural heritage of Hickory. We do this though education, advocacy, museum operations, and actual historic preservation.
Programs: HLS (1)provides technical advice and services to owners of historical properties,(2) conducts year-long educational programs such as Heritage Days, preservation bus tours, a Victorian Dinner, Historic Preservation Day awards, and an annual preservation lecture, (3) maintains five century old historic landmarks.
