Mission: Provide short-term assistance (mentally, spiritually and nutritionally) to those seeking assistance. This is without regard to race, monetary income, and place of residency or church affiliation. The “mission” of The New Life-Line Food Pantry flows from our faith traditions, coupled with our belief in democratic principles. These traditions and principles affirm the basic dignity of every human, concurrent with all the rights necessary to uphold this dignity.
2. In 2009, we provided Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes to 175 families which they could prepare at their home. Because of the demand for food assistance, those receiving a Thanksgiving box didn’t receive one for Christmas. However, they could receive a “normal” food box. This food ministry is on-going. In 2010, we have increased the number of families to be served from 150 to 200 the increase may not seem large, however; when you have to rely on others for the funding this can be quite trying.
Results: We have been able to provide food items to those who requested assistance, for the past 5 years and haven't turned anyone away.

To Whom it may concern,
Over the years I have both witnessed and help my father Bob Berg reach out to the community through food banks established by him and the church he is a part of. I have helped him load trucks filled with turkeys for Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas dinners. I have witnessed his back pain after loading two trucks and trailers with canned goods and perishable items, always keeping a smile on his face because he knew families in his community were going to eat a hot dinner or warm breakfast in the morning. The work my father puts into the food pantry is undeniably that of pure passion for others. I am writing this not because he asked me to, I wanted to share my thoughts of a great man with the will power and soul supporting a great cause. If you are reading this please help him, help hundreds of families that need our help to get through these tough times.
Sincerely Robert Berg
New Life Chapel (formal name Hesperia Foursquare Church) has for the past 4 years had a compassion for helping the hungry. Every month on the last Saturday of the month, the provide free food to those who request assistance. Additionally, throughout the week the staff in the office also provide assistance when requested. Funding for this service comes from the New Life Chapel "Church family", the Emergency Food and Shelter National Program and through a grant from the Willmas Charitable Trust which is administered by the Community Foundation Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
