Causes: Emergency Assistance, Human Services
Mission: The purpose of the corporation is to collect and distribute food to those in need; to assist needy individuals with emergency needs such as clothing, heating, etc. ; to provide one-time assistance to transients; and all other activities permitted by law.
Programs: Collection and distribution of food to those in need in derry township. Served an average of 446 families per month (some twice a month). Provided clothing to 305 children at christmas. Provided emergency assistance for rent, utilities, gas, car repairs, and temporary lodging to 56 families. Served approximately 15,200 people and distributed approximately 341,000 pounds of food.
