HCI is a group of people dedicated to saving under appreciated species. I love their passion and transparency. They put all of the money toward saving a species- a cute little chameleon. Great organization!
Herpetological Conservation International (HCI) is a leader in innovative approaches to the conservation of reptiles, amphibians, and chelonians. Using methods and tactics never before seen in the management of threatened and endangered herpetofauna, HCI offers those of us that know the importance of these misunderstood denizens of our world something that we might not have had before - hope.

Not many people care about the little guys on this beautiful planet of ours. These people are doing everything to help save not just the big animals everyone can see but the little ones too.
Truly a great organization! Not just because of the causes it supports and the animals it is intending to help but because of the amazing people involved. People truly in love with the conservation of reptiles and and amphibians and educating the masses! Glad I was given the opportunity to help them move forward!
So many conservation groups idolize the charismatic large mammal species in danger of extinction, but HCI is dedicated to saving species that the world tends to write off as being creepy, dangerous, and undesirable. The truth is that there is a plethora of species that still need help, whether or not we think they look cute, and HCI has been giving these species a voice. The mission of HCI is one of the most holistic and impartial visions for conservation in the non-profit world and they deserve praise for it.
This charity is filled with highly dedicated individuals that want to ensure you know exactly where your money goes and how it will help. They spend countless hours educating on the plight of the multitude of species and present you with both the problem and realistic solution they've found and are working hard to achieve. You need only ask and you'll understand this is a charity that not only cares but has a plan that they can reach and can make a huge difference for several species not just one that they focus on.
With a hands-on and knowledgeable team, HCI provides conservation to species at risk that are often overlooked by the general public. They fund land purchases to ensure species survival and help raise awareness to those vulnerable species through fund raising events and educational articles. This is truly a nonprofit I would support.
HCI is a unique organization dedicated to conservation of species many would overlook. The passion of its members is unmatched and the outreach is unwavering. They really want to inform the community about their mission and expose vulnerable species to the public. With their hands on research team and charity auctions, they will make a difference for the forgotten species. This is the type of nonprofit that I like to support.
HCI is a conservation minded organization that focuses on the animals, not getting rich. This is one of the few nonprofits that is actually doing something to better our environment and save our species.
Herp conservation international puts money toward herpetological conservation by identifying seriously emperilled species and funding land acquisition on their behalf. With a wide base of knowledge and expertise the organizing staff do a tremendous job helping preserve biodiversity on this planet.
I beleive what makes HCI a solid organization is the fact we really strive to keep it's expenses low and impact high. Help us create a much needed habitat preserve for the endagered Pondo Dwarf Chameleon by becoming a member or joining one of our online fundraisers. You can get more info at herpconservation.org
