Mission: Helping our women was formed in 1992 as a response to the lack of services available to women with cancer on outer cape cod. The organization has expnded to serve women with chronic and life threatening or disabling illness.
Programs: Case management services to clients including assistance with insurance, social security, entitlement programs, transportation and referrals.
direct client services: financial assistance to offset costs of uninsured health care and related expenses.
two therapeutic support groups for women. The cancer support group meets weekly on mondays, facilitated by a licensed social worker. The chronic illness support group meets weekly on tuesdays, facilitated by a registered nurse, lmhc. Both groups are open to women cape-wide.
