Mission: Distribute food to the needy of the community
Programs: We receive food & monetary donations from the community encompassing the school district boundaries. We, then, distribute the food to the needy who have been referred by dpss or churches in our community. We served 10,396 clients with over 558,280 lbs of food to the needy from our pantry. We are a 100% volunteer organization, with volunteer hours of over 8,024. We also provided $28,956 in hygiene products to clients and 101 wardrobes.
We just dropped off some groceries this morning and witnessed a wonderful event of volunteers (students, Rotarians, etc) helping carry groceries to people's cars which were stretched out several blocks from the distribution center. This volunteer led and run food bank is just exactly the charity you've been looking for to donate funds.
