HAH is more than just an organization, they are our family. HAH builds homes for Heroes and their families such as ourselves but HAH does so much more than that; you have to look at the whole picture especially when dealing with all the mixed media out there. There are two sides to every story. Did they mention the dinners, shoots, tours, family functions, hunts we all get to experience together? Did they mention how the staff and volunteers at HAH have completely dedicated their lives to this cause? Did they mention they have sleepless nights getting everything ready for the events? What about the marriage counseling that HAH has set up for us with a Volunteer (who flies cross county several times a year to be with us and does individual sessions with Gomeeting)? HAH does all this because they care; It is for their family. And frankly, we are proud to be a part of the HAH family.
I attended the annual gala last year and the outpouring of support from the community for the deserving Heroes was amazing. The stories the vets shared were heart warming and so touching. I am looking forward to this years event and I hope even more Heroes are helped in this special way- A new home built specifically for their needs!!!!
I have either volunteered or worked for this first class organization for the past two years. Helping a Hero does so much for our wounded veterans by providing them with homes specially adapted for their needs. I can honestly say that this organization operates with the highest level of integrity and compassion for our heroes and I am proud to be affiliated with it!
Great charity that assists wounded vets and their families in any way possible.
Volunteering for Helping a Hero Organization has been both an honor and a privilege. As a Marine veteran, I hold a special place for our wounded warriors. Many have sacrificed so much to assure our country continues to excel, but at times war veteran’s efforts and lost go unappreciated. Helping A Hero doesn’t forget or underappreciate our veterans.
Helping a Hero is great because it delivers to veterans what it promises.
Coming from someone who knows a good amount about not for profit organizations, I can honestly say Helping a Hero is filling a great need in this country. They are responsible, helpful, and respectful! From the office to welcoming their veterans into their new custom homes, everything about Helping a Hero is truly remarkable. I love getting to see this organization grow!
I have seen firsthand the impact this nonprofit has made in several families' lives. They are GREAT!
As a long time volunteer in support of Helping A Hero I am impressed with the mission and the implementation of that mission. Helping A Hero truly cares for those who have given so much to this nation. The local officials I have interacted with have consistently demonstrated their heartfelt commitment to give back to these heroes by placing them into homes that are specially designed to accommodate their sacrifice with integrity.
Wow - I am very impressed with the caring and compassionate nature of Helping a Hero. Although I have only participated on the sidelines there are so many dedicated volunteers helping those in most need. I have seen the pictures of the joy of our service men and women when they receive their new home, a home that works for them. We should never forget those who gave so much so we can live in peace in the USA.
Great ORGANIZATION! So happy that this groups serves those who have sacrificed so much for our country!
Helping a Hero directly impacts our veterans and their families. Great organization.
This organization has done a great job in providing specialized housing for those special needs veterans who have lost limbs and been severely injured to protect us here at home in the fight against those forces of terrorism. I have made donations to this group for the past several years and I don't make donations to any organization where I cannot see most of my money going to the people an organization says it is helping. This non-profit is one of those great groups I have that kind of faith in.
Helping a Hero is like family to me. I received a home from Helping a Hero. I am so grateful that Helping a Hero has always been there for me when I needed them. And thanks to their Wounded Hero Home Program agreement I didnt lose my home in my divorce. Thank you Helping a Hero!

Helping a Hero
Restores the independence and changes the life of our wounded warriors.
This is an organization that is most worthy of your time , talent or donations.
I was first introduced to Helping a Hero in November 2013. During their Annual Gala, I witnessed the organization's giving spirit and tremendous respect for America's finest men and women. This organization is committed to ensuring that those who have sacrificed so much are empowered and supported.
We have been involved with this organization since 2008 and have had a great experience the whole time. They are all about relationships and I'm so glad for the one we have with them!
I was a donor on the first home built by Helping a Hero. It is so inspiring to meet the men and women that have served our country. The home recipients of Helping a Hero have incredible stories of valor, sacrifice, duty, and honor. Watching Helping a Hero build these homes makes me proud to be an American, Great job Helping a Hero.
Helping a Hero is a very accountable charity and its audit shows over 80 cents of every donation goes to the bottom line. I was impressed that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB has a very stringent 20 point review process and there are only less than 100 charities in the Houston area with the BBB seal. Hats off to Helping a Hero for going the extra mile so donors know their money is well invested.
The United States Army has been supporting many of the Helping A Hero events that have occurred since the organization's inception at multiple events throughout the country.
We have sent Soldier volunteers to help these Heroes following their home presentations to help with their needs. This organization provides an unbelievable community service that ties both the community and the federal, state and local government together in one effort.
There are normally very few uniformed military at these events and that part is sad, since these Heroes have given so much. The U.S. Army is committed to these heroes and we make every effort to attend groundbreaking or home dedications, whenever feasible and our heroes really appreciate seeing military there to support them. Often, there will be a Soldier or two who served on the mission they were injured on and this means the world to them.
Helping A Hero is a tremendous organization that we will continue to support wherever the call.
The U.S. Army Reserve Ambassador and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for east Texas also attends when their calendars permit.
In a world that can seem crowded with good causes, Helping a Hero truly shows how to stay focused on the goal of helping veterans and their family.. Probably the best thing is that their track record and personal involvement means that the project WILL get done and done right. Working with them has truly been educational and inspiring.
