HAH is more than just an organization, they are our family. HAH builds homes for Heroes and their families such as ourselves but HAH does so much more than that; you have to look at the whole picture especially when dealing with all the mixed media out there. There are two sides to every story. Did they mention the dinners, shoots, tours, family functions, hunts we all get to experience together? Did they mention how the staff and volunteers at HAH have completely dedicated their lives to this cause? Did they mention they have sleepless nights getting everything ready for the events? What about the marriage counseling that HAH has set up for us with a Volunteer (who flies cross county several times a year to be with us and does individual sessions with Gomeeting)? HAH does all this because they care; It is for their family. And frankly, we are proud to be a part of the HAH family.
This organization does so much for veterans! They go above and beyond. I am impressed any time they put an event together. Wonderful humans and very hard workers! Keep it up
Such a wonderful organization that means so much to me. Last year I volunteered & had the honor of hearing many inspirational stories from the men & women who fight for our country daily.
This organization does tons for the individuals mentioned above and many others. I’d be happy to volunteer my time & energy for any event they throw because each one helps so much.
Helping a Hero does so much to impact the lives of so many veterans. Year after year, they work hard towards achieving their mission of empowering wounded veterans by helping get their lives back on track with houses built specially for their needs. What an amazing group!
So many veterans have benefited from this organization. If you’re ever thinking about donating to a nonprofit, this one is solid. Our veterans need so much help and it’s easy to forget that the reason we can protest, do what we want on social media, and enjoy all the freedoms under our US constitution is because of the sacrifices made by veterans! Let’s help them this time.
Helping a Hero is a wonderful organization. I have attended several of their galas and they truly care for our veterans. They do everything possible to make an impactful difference.
You just can’t beat an organization like Helping a Hero. There’s not enough we can do to support wounded veterans and providing homes for them is awesome. Keep up the great support!
I have seen the work they do for veterans and all that they provide. It is truly a blessing for these brave men and women to have an organization that truly cares.
Helping a Hero is a great organization to help our wounded veterans.
One of the most well run organizations dedicated to helping our wounded warriors. I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with them and seeing the difference their organization makes on the lives of our service men and women. I highly recommend getting involved.
Volunteering with Helping A Hero is a joy beyond words! Each hero I have the honor of meeting, interacting with and hearing their story is an incredible blessing. One of the many benefits observed is as each hero receives their home and integrates into the community, is the way the community embraces them and their home becomes a central place to gather. This gives the hero and his or her family a sense of belonging rather than living in a world of isolation, feeling like they don’t fit in. Helping a Hero is a life changing gift to each hero and the hero a treasured gift to all they meet!
This fantastic organization grants disabled veterans the opportunity to own a custom built home that suits each veterans needs. I made a donation last year and was pleased to see the results of the hard work that Helping A Hero made in these veterans lives.
Helping a Hero is a wonderful organization. I've seen firsthand how much they truly care about severely injured veterans and veterans in general.
Fantastic organization. They truly go the extra mile in helping wounded veterans get back on their feet
They were well organized with friendly staff and the director, Jacob Way was outstanding and extremely professional
I have personally worked with this Veteran Charity in design work in a donated home for the Scott family in New Braunfels (TX) and several fund-raising events for the organization. The leadership in this organization is top notch; they're committed to furthering the goals of the charity in providing homes for deserving veterans and I look forward to continuing to volunteer with Helping a Hero in the future!

An organization that truly cares. They are committed to helping to build a better life for the wounded hero AND their family.
Helping a Hero is an amazing charity that gives to Veterans who have endured disfiguring and traumatic events. This charity not only supports veterans who are disabled by building custom made homes but also gives support to their children. This is a non-profit that truly gives back to military families who are in need.
They pay attention to every detail and every need. My husband was awarded a home back in 2014. They went above and beyond!
What a great organization that’s making a difference in disabled veterans’ lives and it’s headed up by a Millennial with energy the “Speed of Trump” and great business sense!
Helping a hero has done a lot of good causes in the community, the dedication and love they have towards our heroes is incredible moving and something to be proud of.

Incredible organization in helping out veterans. Can’t wait to see this go nationwide and become bigger and better.
The leadership of Helping a Hero really cares about the families of our veterans. I enjoyed getting to set up caregiver activities for the spouses of our wounded warriors.
I am so impressed with Helping a Hero and its commitment to our veterans. I watched them build a home for a wheelchair bound veteran. They thought of so many things to help make his life easier. They even moved the gas turnoff in the kitchen to where it would be accessible.
Helping a hero puts so much thought and energy into each and every thing they do for their veterans. They really keep the needs of their military families close to their hearts.
It's so wonderful to see an organization so passionate about helping our veterans get a house that accommodates their specific needs so that they can call it home for year to come!
Helping A Hero is an organization that really cares about the people they help. They go through great lengths to make sure every event for the veterans and their families is meaningful and fun. They go above and beyond with the homes they build and offer support for each family in the months and years that follow after they move into their new home.
It's so great to see an organization working to better the lives of our veterans and their families who have really given their all to serve and protect our country.
I truly thank god for this charity. They do so much good for our service men and women and their families
A wonderful charity fulfilling a real need in the community!
I attended the annual gala last year and the outpouring of support from the community for the deserving Heroes was amazing. The stories the vets shared were heart warming and so touching. I am looking forward to this years event and I hope even more Heroes are helped in this special way- A new home built specifically for their needs!!!!
I have either volunteered or worked for this first class organization for the past two years. Helping a Hero does so much for our wounded veterans by providing them with homes specially adapted for their needs. I can honestly say that this organization operates with the highest level of integrity and compassion for our heroes and I am proud to be affiliated with it!
Great charity that assists wounded vets and their families in any way possible.
Volunteering for Helping a Hero Organization has been both an honor and a privilege. As a Marine veteran, I hold a special place for our wounded warriors. Many have sacrificed so much to assure our country continues to excel, but at times war veteran’s efforts and lost go unappreciated. Helping A Hero doesn’t forget or underappreciate our veterans.
Helping a Hero is great because it delivers to veterans what it promises.
Coming from someone who knows a good amount about not for profit organizations, I can honestly say Helping a Hero is filling a great need in this country. They are responsible, helpful, and respectful! From the office to welcoming their veterans into their new custom homes, everything about Helping a Hero is truly remarkable. I love getting to see this organization grow!
I have seen firsthand the impact this nonprofit has made in several families' lives. They are GREAT!
As a long time volunteer in support of Helping A Hero I am impressed with the mission and the implementation of that mission. Helping A Hero truly cares for those who have given so much to this nation. The local officials I have interacted with have consistently demonstrated their heartfelt commitment to give back to these heroes by placing them into homes that are specially designed to accommodate their sacrifice with integrity.
Wow - I am very impressed with the caring and compassionate nature of Helping a Hero. Although I have only participated on the sidelines there are so many dedicated volunteers helping those in most need. I have seen the pictures of the joy of our service men and women when they receive their new home, a home that works for them. We should never forget those who gave so much so we can live in peace in the USA.
Great ORGANIZATION! So happy that this groups serves those who have sacrificed so much for our country!
Helping a Hero directly impacts our veterans and their families. Great organization.
This organization has done a great job in providing specialized housing for those special needs veterans who have lost limbs and been severely injured to protect us here at home in the fight against those forces of terrorism. I have made donations to this group for the past several years and I don't make donations to any organization where I cannot see most of my money going to the people an organization says it is helping. This non-profit is one of those great groups I have that kind of faith in.
Helping a Hero is like family to me. I received a home from Helping a Hero. I am so grateful that Helping a Hero has always been there for me when I needed them. And thanks to their Wounded Hero Home Program agreement I didnt lose my home in my divorce. Thank you Helping a Hero!

Helping a Hero
Restores the independence and changes the life of our wounded warriors.
This is an organization that is most worthy of your time , talent or donations.
I was first introduced to Helping a Hero in November 2013. During their Annual Gala, I witnessed the organization's giving spirit and tremendous respect for America's finest men and women. This organization is committed to ensuring that those who have sacrificed so much are empowered and supported.
We have been involved with this organization since 2008 and have had a great experience the whole time. They are all about relationships and I'm so glad for the one we have with them!
I was a donor on the first home built by Helping a Hero. It is so inspiring to meet the men and women that have served our country. The home recipients of Helping a Hero have incredible stories of valor, sacrifice, duty, and honor. Watching Helping a Hero build these homes makes me proud to be an American, Great job Helping a Hero.
Helping a Hero is a very accountable charity and its audit shows over 80 cents of every donation goes to the bottom line. I was impressed that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB has a very stringent 20 point review process and there are only less than 100 charities in the Houston area with the BBB seal. Hats off to Helping a Hero for going the extra mile so donors know their money is well invested.
The United States Army has been supporting many of the Helping A Hero events that have occurred since the organization's inception at multiple events throughout the country.
We have sent Soldier volunteers to help these Heroes following their home presentations to help with their needs. This organization provides an unbelievable community service that ties both the community and the federal, state and local government together in one effort.
There are normally very few uniformed military at these events and that part is sad, since these Heroes have given so much. The U.S. Army is committed to these heroes and we make every effort to attend groundbreaking or home dedications, whenever feasible and our heroes really appreciate seeing military there to support them. Often, there will be a Soldier or two who served on the mission they were injured on and this means the world to them.
Helping A Hero is a tremendous organization that we will continue to support wherever the call.
The U.S. Army Reserve Ambassador and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for east Texas also attends when their calendars permit.
In a world that can seem crowded with good causes, Helping a Hero truly shows how to stay focused on the goal of helping veterans and their family.. Probably the best thing is that their track record and personal involvement means that the project WILL get done and done right. Working with them has truly been educational and inspiring.
Keystone Concrete is more than honored to be a part of Helping a Hero! Every experience with this organization from fundraising through construction has been 1st class! Keystone Concrete company owners along with employees feel it is our duty to help the men and women who have put themselves in harms way to protect our liberties!
Director of Business Development
Huge lack of organization and communication. Staff and board members have very high turnover...when someone questions the integrity of the chairman, out they go. Lots of bad press with unanswered questions and missing money.... Not a fan or supporter of this organization anymore.
I've been involved with Helping Hero for about 5 years and have been nothing but impressed. I've been involved in the ground breaking for a home for a local vet and then in the presentation of that home later. The local volunteers are exceptional, and their fund raising projects have been handled flawlessly. The leadership at the national level is nothing short of outstanding, and the fact that $.82 of every dollar donated goes to the vets is testament to the fact this is a first class and above-the-board organization. I strongly recommend Helping a Hero for anyone's volunteering or donation plans. There are numerous organizations in the country dedicated to taking care of our wounded vets, but Helping a Hero ranks at the top of the list. Your volunteer talents and your monetary support for Helping a Hero will NOT be wasted. They are an absolutely First Rate organization.

HelpingaHero.org is a family. In just a few days, the first home recipient, PFC Kenny Adams, USA (Ret) will complete his commitment to live in his beautiful $300,000 home for 10 years. While the home equity was always in his name, he couldn't borrow against it for the 10 years beyond his original mortgage of $50,000 that represented his obligation to the home. This 10 year agreement also kept him from losing his home or the equity in a divorce. Our wounded warriors need our support. Building an accessible home tailored to their needs is an important first step. And encouraging them as they continue their journey on their road to recovery, is important too. Helping a Hero builds amazing homes, and does marriage retreats, caregiver retreats, hunting and fishing trips, Operation Merry Christmas, and so much more.

As a former Board member of this charity, I encourage you to support Helping a Hero and help this charity build more homes for wounded warriors. Helping a Hero is a transparent and accountable charity and was certified in February 2015 by the Better Business Bureau as a transparent and accountable charity.
Helping a Hero identifies the wounded warrior, raises the funds for the home, then assembles the build team, designs the adapted floorplan to meet the needs of the wounded warrior, works with the builder to secure in kind labor and material donations and builds the home as agreed and approved by the wounded warrior.
