When I came to Caruthersville, I was accepted into breakthrough recovery. I was still actively using. I was using very little but still using. I was very withdrawn and liked to be on my own. After a while, I began to loosen up and participate. I quickly realized that those at church and breakthrough recovery and especially Justin and Davida really did care about me and my recovery. As time has passed I have realized that they love me and want what's best for me. Justin and Daveeda have made me a part of their family and have shown love and respect for me. They have instilled a lot of trust in me. I owe Justin and Daveeda and Help on Hand for helping me and encouraging me to overcome the issues I deal with daily. I'm very thankful for them and love them in return.

What a huge blessing Help on Hand has been for our community, and me personally!! Not only our town, but surrounding communities as well!!! This group has helped other churches in other towns, by getting them started with Recovery Classes!! Brother Carlton was always so good to work with, full of fire for the Lord! We prayed every morning before work and even through the day, in our journeys we were always reaching out to people and helping. The friendships that God formed in and around this group, are the most solid friendships I’ve ever had. Byron, the guy who sees over the men’s home, is my very best friend, so is Carlton. These guys are great! Welcomed me with open arms and open, loving hearts. I’ve learned so much about life from these two men. These folks took me in when I was homeless and fed me when I was hungry, (physically and spiritually). I am blessed that I had the opportunity to work with these guys. Renovating what would become the House of Hope for ladies, was a huge blessing, and seeing 4 ladies living there and each being clean the longest time in their recovery, and all of them worshiping God and letting God lead the way, has been so satisfying and such a blessing to me that words can’t even describe. These people don’t give up either, if you fall, they reach down and pick you back up!! They taught me more about forgiveness than I could ever imagine. The Breakthrough Recovery Classes have taught me so much about life!! They helped me get housed, with lifetime free rent. Carlton and Deveeda are like family to me. They have shown me unconditional love and have helped to hold me accountable!! I would highly recommend this group!!! It will definitely change your life for the better!! The food drives, the trips to Men’s Conference, the trip to Louisiana,(which we picked up a huge Uhaul full of very nice furniture, that would furnish a safe place for women to go) the personal Bible Studies, the street outreaches, Recovery at the River, the bondage that was broken and new great bonds made, have been the driving force that’s kept me here, in this town, and alive! Without Carlton, I personally know, I probably would’ve given up!!! I love all you guys and thank Jesus for putting us together!!

I’ve seen first hand the way Justin and Daveeda show love and kindness to every person they encounter. They go above and beyond for people, for strangers, everyday. Jesus’ love and light shines through them in everything they do and I am so blessed that I get to be a part of the amazing company that they have created.

I think Help on Hand is a great thing that happened for the homeless. Like food for the hungry and clothing for people that have nothing. For me personally it is a safe place and warm. I've met totally great people other than a lot of ones that fake and take from you. Justin and Daveeda is awesome. They help me with KB. Liked helping me and show KB the light and they are another world then the streets.

I believe that this program is amazing. It helps out anyone that needs help. Whether you be homeless, have an addiction of any kind, etc. This program can help you get back on your feet and better your life. I've seen a lot of people come thru this program and make so much better out of their lives, and I believe that with Faith and God everybody can be helped.

What can you say about people are willing to go out there way to help a person in need I have personally seen the time and love this organization puts into helping people for the most part they don't even know. There is not to many people that would do that the leadership of this group is absolutely amazing if you need a helping hand they are there you need some one to talk to they are there if you just need some one to pray for you they are there. You can not ask for a better organization...

Me and my husband were new moving to town and we had nothing to get us started. Them not even knowing us at all helped us get a couch and chair, & two beds. They also welcomed us to start coming to there church. We are so grateful for the kindness they showed us.
