I was so impressed by the work of Help Animals India that I joined the Board of Directors.
Help Animals India fills a much-needed niche in the nonprofit animal advocacy sector. They’re dedicated to ensuring that the Indian animal protection organizations who receive Help Animals India financial support continuously demonstrate they are implementing the most beneficial and effective work for Indian animals. Help Animals India is diligent in ensuring that grantees are completing their mission, have the highest standards of animal welfare, and have proper training, modern equipment, and additional capacity building as needed. Help Animals India staff, board, volunteers, and grantees have a high standard of ethics and transparency, work from their values, and always make the animals the top priority.
Help Animals India fills a much needed niche in the nonprofit animal advocacy sector. They’re dedicated to ensuring that the Indian animal protection organizations who receive HAI funding have demonstrated they are doing the most beneficial and effective work for Indian animals. HAI is a work of passion and the founder is diligent in ensuring that the Indian organizations are completing their mission and putting the animals first. Moreover, HAI does a great service to the animal advocacy movement in that they assist in widening the circle of compassion and bring the plight of international animals on the radars of those in the West…. a much needed –and appreciated- service to the animal advocacy movement. But perhaps more important than anything, the folks at Help Animals India have a high standard of ethics, work from their values, and always, always make the animals the top priority.
Review from Guidestar
My mother and I run an animal shelter called People for Animals Agra and we have no words to thank Eileen for all the help she has lent us when we were desperate. Recently Help Animals India donated to our fundraiser to help us secure food and medicines for buffaloes who were rescued from slaughter. We thank Help Animals India from the bottom of our hearts and hope this non-profit can reach more charities in India like us, who need help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

We are so fortunate to be able to help the buffaloes on other animals in a location like Agra where the Taj Mahal is more people should help street and suffering animals there but unfortunately they do not, the world is lucky to have PFA Agra there! thank you!
Helping Animals India is doing a great work in India. They support Indian organisations who urgently need assistance. I am always very cautious and I look in all directions before I support an organization, but with this organization one can be sure that the donations will surely reach the animals. I am a volunteer of an organization in India which Help Animals India supports and I am very, very grateful for their help.
Helping Animals across India (and elsewhere)
Our association with Help Animals India goes back to 2012. Prior to that, we had email communication with the Founder Chairperson, Eileen Weintraub for over a year.
They have been supporting Raahat, an Animal Hospital & Sanctuary in the North of India, since 2012. Their support has helped strengthen not just our rescue, relief and ABC Programme but has also resulted in improved infrastructure and other facilities, making a world of a difference to the Sanctuary.
The Help Animals India office bearers visit the organizations they support every year to get first hand information on where the funds are being put to use, a great practice for any funding agency.
They have recently sponsored the building cost of a Vegan Community & Animal Rights Centre @ Raahat, the first of its kind in the State.
So, Help Animals India is working to provide direct benefits while at the same time also helping build a humane community for animals, through advocacy and promoting a Go Vegan campaign.
to Help Animals India and all its donors and supporters.

Thank you to Rahaat for Animals and Help Animals India will endeavor to keep offering support as we can, in gratitude!
First I learn about Help Animals India, way back in 2003. Later I got to know the Director, Eileen Weintraub and happened to volunteer for Help Animals India stall in 2008 in USA at one of the Animal Rights Conference in Virginia. Here I learned more about HAI and Eileen, what Eileen did was amazing and I understood the pain to raise funds to help countless animals in India. This is truly a charity that is 100 percent runs with volunteers and every single penny raised goes to animal welfare activities. I am proud to help and assist the charity in whichever way I can and wish this charity gets more and more support to genuinely help at the grassroots level. There is no big admin or marketing office for this charity. Wishing all the very best and wish more supporter joins HAI efforts.
I have been contributing to Help Animals India since its inception. They provide vital resources to a number of compassionate and trustworthy organizations that work hard and help and sustain the lives of many animals and people in India where help is most needed.

Thank you we exist because of people like you only and you inspire the partners in India and us at Help Animals India, in gratitude!
I have been proud to be associated with Help Animals India for some years. I respect the important mission of this organization and appreciate their follow-through activities which benefit the animals and the people working as animal advocates in unbelievable situations. As a result of Help Animals India's financial and on-the-ground support in India and beyond, so many more abused and neglected animals are receiving the love, respect and care they deserve. Thank you and deep bow to Help Animals India. May your dedicated work continue with all success for everyones' benefit!
About ten years I saw a story about helping dogs in India. I decided to donate to this organization and over the years have been amazed and lifted by the dedication, love, compassion, transperancy and spiritual beauty of Help Animals India. Eileen Weintraub, Help Animals India director,is tireless in her calling of helping those who suffer. Help Animals India also supports other animal rescues in India and offers education , community support and love to the animals and people it serves. I never cease to be amazed at all they do and continue to do.
Help Animals India (HAI) does the most extraordinary job of supporting animal charities in India that have few resources of their own. HAI's tireless advocacy, responsible reporting and sheer hard work for injured and homeless animals is so admirable. Often HAI will aid the people in local environments too, and take a holistic approach to prevention of cruelty and supply of medical help where it is needed. They are also on the ground in disaster areas, there to help where animals of all types are injured or without food and water. Eileen Weintraub, as Founding Director of HAI works absolutely selflessly for those that have no voice, the animals of India.
I've been following Help Animals India for years and know they go where other organizations don't to do the hands-on work of rescue and rehabilitation in the service of nonhuman animals. You will see this when you go to their website and read about the many projects they make possible.
I am so inspired to serve on the board for Help Animals India. They stand for serving the groups that truly make a difference in helping and protecting animals day in and day out. Donors can expect that their donations are used wisely and effectively to lessen animals suffering and bring about healing. Help Animals India is changing the culture for the better, for the animals and a kinder attitude from the humans
I have been donating to this charity for a few years now and I highly recommend it. Help Animals India pools all the donations they get and disburses them among several worthy animal charity organizations who they partner with across India and Nepal. They also feed poor/homeless people vegan meals. They have done so much good throughout the years and so many animal welfare organizations in India and Nepal are now thriving and taking care of so many animals who never would have gotten the help.
Animals in India you would think would have it goo d, but they do not. Eileen is very careful and every dime goes directly to the animals, so know your funds are going directly to the animals.! It is one of my favorite charities!

Thank you Ellen for your ongoing support and your commitment to saving animals everywhere, you are an inspiration! In gratitude from India's animals and our partners.
They are a truly honest and great rescue to support. You have to be careful, sadly so many don't do what they say they do, but over 98 or is it 99% of the $ you donate will go to do exactly what they say they are doing!Eileen is a person of great integrity and honoring her word, you can count on her and her great rescue. Thank you
I have supported Help Animals India for several years now. Their impact for animals is great because they work very closely with their grantees and make sure that funds are spent on specific projects. They are in regular communication with the groups doing work in India and Nepal, ensuring that the best interests of the animals are always the priority. The founder of Help Animals India does this work as a labor of love and I have great admiration for her. In 2017, I was lucky enough to travel to India and visit one of their grantees. The work they do, with support from HAI, was nothing short of amazing. I will continue to support this group because they are making a real difference for animals.

Thank you Donna for your continual support for animals everywhere, in gratitude!
Help Animals India answered our call for help when we saw the terrible suffering of the dogs in the buddhist pilgrimage site of Sarnath in UP India. Help Animals India, with their many connections in India, were able to find a veterinarian and an NGO that could take on that project. Now we have had annual birth control camps with awareness programs, all organized and funded by Help Animals India. This non-profit is a caring, small non-profit with big heart. Highly recommended and commended for their work!
Help Animals India 10/29/2018
We are very grateful to the continual help to the dogs in the area of Sarnath and endeavor to continue with support from kind people like you!
Help Animals India is one of the most selfless and efficient organizations. They help so many amazing organizations in several parts of India like VSPCA, JBF and more. HAI helps these organizations with their Spay/Neuter and Rabies vaccination programs that have been proven to be so successful, Vegan Outreach to educate people about compassion, Saving Cows and calfs, elephants, birds, turtles, and helping all animals in need. I wish there were more organizations like HAI and they would get the support they deserve. Eileen works tirelessly and touches so many lives everyday. HAI will always be close to my heart for the amazing work that they do. - volunteer and Donor.
Help Animals India is one of the most effective organizations who work to mitigate animal suffering. They choose to work with groups who all have Spay/Neuter and Rabies vaccination programs that have been proven to be the most successful in humanely controlling street animal populations. In addition, Help Animals India directs donations to remote and forgotten towns and areas in India where the donated funds are incredibly productive in caring for animals and educating the people of the needs of animals in their community. I have been donating to this group several times a year for two years and consider it to be the most satisfying and productive use of the limited funds I have to give to animal care and welfare. The US dollar goes a long way in India and Help Animals India ensures that the best groups who do the most for animals get it.
Help Animals India has done a splendid job of helping the Visakha SPCA, a project where I have some familiarity. As a consequence they have brought about significant improvements in the conditions under which non-human animals survive in the area. Eileen has a excellent knowledge of the operations on the ground at VSPCA and as a consequence she is able to direct attention to areas of greatest need. Help Animals India is highly regarded by all at Visakha and I cannot speak highly enough of their efforts in helping those who need it most.
The way they help animals in need is selfless and caring. So many times India sinks into chaos. The storms and heavy rains destroy all food and shelter for humans and animals. Having to sacrifice to include the animals during such hard times is compassion at its best. It seems to me that the people who work with the sick and often dying animals have understood that the life of an animals is as much worth to them as our life is to us. We are a family of care and love, and every action done with utmost care and compassion plants a seed for a brighter and more balanced universe. It further seems to me that these people understood that we are supposed to be of service for each other, the animals and all of creation included. What a greater cause can there be than to help such people to help other beings in ever better ways. In fact. I can say with the utmost conviction that I wish to have all the people who care so much, and ever wish to increase the quality of care, I wish to keep them forever and all times in my heart. That much of value is their work that it seems sad of one cannot help as much as we wish to. The skills are there and so is the goodwill, the intention and the love. May all beings become healthier and happier and may the animals feel that their life was worth living. Thank you - you all are so very precious and needed. Sometimes, I cannot believe that at this day and age of suffering and war, such good people who care so much especially for the animals, who often suffer more, because of us humans, still exist. People who reduce suffering to animals help to increase happiness in the world for all beings alike. It would be amazing if these wonderful people would get an award. They more than deserve it. With Love - Carina
I have supported Help Animals India for some time and have huge admiration for the tireless work they do to raise funds for very deserving causes. Anybody who has travelled in India will have noticed the plight of animals there. Supporting and donating to HAI will make a huge difference. Without groups like this and leaders like Eileen those animals would suffer without help. Those of us who don't get involved directly with fund-raising should be very grateful for those that put in their time and energy in doing the hard work for us.
Help Animals India is an extraordinarily inspirational non-profit organisation that not only helps to protect animals from cruelty and injury, but is also acutely aware of the environment in which the animals and people live.
Many of the charities that Help Animals India supports have biogas plants which recycle cow dung for energy needs such as cooking which helps the local workers and neighbours. This determination to be aware of environmental issues saves precious funds and helps lessen carbon emissions by reducing the need for cooking fires and electricity.
There is also a very pressing need in India to reduce the amount of garbage that is dumped, particularly plastic, as it is invariably ingested by cows and goats causing enormous health issues including frequent and painful deaths. In many areas of India today plastic bags are being banned which should go some way to help avoid the terrible consequences that the dumping of non-biodegradeable items cause to animals and, over time, the natural environment.
Help Animals India takes a holistic approach to the many issues that surround animal welfare in a poor country. I am immensely grateful that there are people and organisations such as Help Animals India that selflessly and tirelessly work to alleviate pain and suffering for those who have no voice.
Review from Guidestar
Have been following Help Animals India on fb for a while now and am very impressed with the work they do. They keep us up to date with pictures and information, and they work tirelessly for all types of animals.
I came across this group on FB and saw a dog that had come into their shelter in India. Her name was Balu meaning strength and she broke my heart. She was this very happy looking yellow lab sitting on the ground like a person. She was paralyzed in her back legs and due to dragging them had bad abrasions and infections. They were asking for donations to help get her a cart to keep her legs from dragging. I decided I wanted this little girl to have a chance to be truly happy and to get healthy again. I arranged to buy and send her a cart from the states. She finally got it about a month later. Little did I know the poor girl was getting worse from her infections. She died shortly after. Throughout all of this a wonderful lady from Help India Animals helped me to donate, keep me updated and consoled me when I found out "my Balu" had passed away. I finally got pictures of her in her cart but the poor girl was so weak and skinny looking. That spark in her eyes was gone. It must have been shortly before she passed. She never got much use of the cart I had donated but other dogs that need it due to human abuse, neglect or traffic accidents can use it. I will always cherish that little dog and the kind people at the VSPCA and Help Animals India that help dogs like her everyday. This is a truly needy cause for India's animals and anyone who can should please help.
I was so happy when I found out about Help Animals India because the animals in India truly need every bit of help and kindness they can get. I grew up in India so I know a little about the situation of animals there, and it gives me great hope to see that Help Animals India is doing their best. I would highly recommend this organization!
I have loved animals since I was a child. I recall running upto the street animals in India and playing with them, even as others looked on in apprehension or fright. As I grew older, I was saddened by the indifference that most of the people in this world have towards animals. Help Animals India is a group that is doing spectacular work not only in treating and taking care of animals but also in educating people to be sensitive to animals. I have not come across such a passionate, close-knit group of people, working day in and day out to make the lives of animals in India better. They are professional, prompt and extremely transparent. Help Animals India provides employment to a number of local Indians at their shelters. Not only are they improving the employees standard of living, but they are also sensitizing and educating the society and teaching them to be compassionate.
I am happy to have donated to Help Animals India . I have seen the suffering of the animals of India first hand and much help is needed . I believe that every penny counts and that our donations go much further from this side of the world . I hope that they can continue to keep up their good work .
I especially care about animals in the so-called developing countries such as India because they are so often neglected and suffer so much. And the US dollar goes so much farther when donated to them. As a donor and an activist I choose to support organizations where I know every dollar goes very far to relieve suffering and Help Animals India is one of the best for that.
I particularly like that they spend their time advising and directly helping the Indian charities, giving strength to the charities in India so that one day they will not need to fundraise from outside India.
Help Animals India is entirely transparent and is able to answer any question about the complex issues they advise on.
Help Animals India has helped us help the animals of The Cattitude Trust by raising funds which they use to purchase invaluable supplies like Kitten formula for our rescued orphan kittens, medicines, cat care products and much much more, the help and enrich lives. We are deeply grateful for this help and the effort that goes into extending it to us.
I am lucky to have found Help Animals India, I was so worried for the animals in India, now I have a peace of mind that Help Animals India is doing so much for India Animals. Help Animals India is really awesome and trustworthy, supporting several carefully researched and trusted NGOs in India. Eileen is humble and a very friendly person who updates the situations of the shelter animals, tells me more whenever I ask. Great to see the animals getting better and being fed and well taken care of. Help Animals India is definitely making the changes for India Animals by supporting Animal Birth Control program. Thank you Eileen and team members for working so hard to help the poor animals.
I traveled to Visakhapatnam, India to volunteer at this terrific animal shelter and found amazing people doing incredible work for the animals. The shelter is home to more than 6000 animals including Water Buffalo, Cows, Horses, Dogs, Cats, Star Tortoises, Guinea Pigs, Ducks and more. The animals live in excellent conditions and are well-loved by all the staff. Additionally, in the 15 years that the VSPCA has been operating, they have spayed, neutered and vaccinated over 70,000 street dogs! As a result, the condition of the street dogs in Visakhapatnam is better than any other city I visited in India. And the people are more kind to the animals, having seen the wonderful example set by the VSPCA.
For several years, I have followed the work of Help Animals India through their facebook page & website. I am very impressed by the help they give to several animal welfare groups which care for a variety of creatures. Almost every penny of each dollar donated goes directly to those in need. I appreciate that one of their projects, VSPCA, is very active with the green movement, especially at Kindness Farm. I plan to volunteer with VSPCA in the near future.
Help Animals India does an amazing job at supporting effective animal welfare works in India. They help many organizations with financial help which makes a huge difference to the animals. JBF today have an Ambulance for rescuing of suffering animals and also for undergoing “Humane Dog and Rabies Management Program”. This is because of HAI! This support gives a very positive impact in the organization and ultimately to our animal friends. ………….Dr. Sashanka with team JBF.

Considering and rating Animal Welfare Works as “Green”, Help Animals India for its unconditional love and compassion to the animal friends, rescuing animals and promoting adoption of animals is doing a great work of noble cause by supporting and funding for Animal Birth Control Program, education materials and ambulances and many more at various corners of the world. We salute HAI!

Help Animals India does an amazing job at supporting effective rescues in India. The supported rescues and organizations all have succesfully made changes to the animals in their care and to the outlook towards animals in India. They are not focussed on just a certain set of animals, but on the bigger picture to bring about compassion in people for animals, people, as well as the environment, educate and increase the reach of veganism, illegal wildlife trade, green efforts and much more. You can track their efforts in each of the organizations and know that your donation is always very well used.
