Programs: The helen g. Bonfils foundation, organized and operated for theexclusive benefit and support of the denver center for theperforming arts (dcpa), is an organization described in section509 (a)(3) of the internal revenue code. The dcpa was incorporatedin 1953 for the purpose of creating and promoting an interest inand an appreciation and knowledge of the performing arts. Thedcpa operates the helen bonfils theatre complex and otherfacilities at the denver performing arts complex under 50-yearleases with the city and county of denver. The foundation haspledged its entire resources to or for the use of the dcpa. Tworepresentatives of the dcpa serve on the board of trustees of thefoundation.
