Mission: Steppingstone Scholars and Philadelphia Futures rebranded as Heights Philadelphia on December 13th, 2022 after receiving approval of its merger from Philadelphia County’s Orphans Court in November 2022. The two organizations integrated programming and began effectively operating as one organization on September 1, 2022. Heights’ vision is that all Philadelphia students graduate high school and achieve economic mobility through college and workforce success. Beginning in middle school, students receive access to academic, workforce, and college support to propel economic mobility. Serving more than 3,000 students in 23 schools in Philadelphia, Heights works with students to provide not only programming, including one-to-one advising, academic enrichment, internship opportunities, and financial support – but also pathways to success through every step of their lives.
Results: 100% of Heights middle school students persist to high school. 100% of Heights high school students graduate high school. 88% of Heights graduates are employed at a full-time job, enrolled in graduate school, or committed to a yearlong service program within six months.
