Any time I go in there and a specific 2 women are there, I am always met with rudeness and they overprice their things so that it’s not worth it to shop there. If I even ASK if they’d take less, they make a condescending remark that I should be fine with paying more since it’s all for buying food for the poor, a fact they jam down your throat any time you ask for a price on something (not everything is pre-priced, which is understandable, it’s a big store). My most recent visit today was the final straw. They had Christmas bunnies for $1.50 (perfectly fine price) and I saw 3 at the front of the store still in boxes and price marked but I found another one (exact same bunny, brand, size, not in a box and not priced) in the back of the store. So I brought it up with me and asked the woman if she’d take the same $1.50 since they’re the same thing and she said no and told me $2. So I asked why would I pay more for the same thing when I can grab one that has a box and everything? So she said “You know, you do this every time you come in here. You complain about our prices and if you don’t want it at the price I said, then don’t buy it.” Her tone was very rude. So I said that I have no issue with prices so long as they’re fair and it’s not about the 50 cents, so I grabbed a bunny from a box and I was almost ready to just buy the bunny from the box but then she made another snide comment, so I told her she was extremely rude and is often rude when I come in and I’m quite done with shopping at a place that behaves this way to their customers. I told her I have spent a TON of money at this store since moving to marlette in 2020 and I have donated LOTS of beautiful things to this place. But until they get some new workers who are kind and respectful, I won’t be shopping there ever again. If they do good for giving away food then God bless that part of their ministry, but they sure have a rude way of communicating with their customers and I am not even close to the only person in this small town that feels this way or has had a similar experience.
