Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Heaven can wait animal haven is a 501(c)3 non profit organization serving the ottawa and muskegon county area dedicated to rescuing, re-homing and providing spay and neuter options for cats and kittens. We are dedicated to helping reduce the population of unwanted pets.
Programs: Adoptions. In keeping with the last 8 years, we have once again surpassed our adoption goal for 2016 with almost 800 cats and kittens finding new homes. This is an amazing feat considering we do not have a shelter building and have foster homes only. Many of our local families join our all volunteer organization and open their homes to our homeless cats and kittens. All expenses are paid by heaven can wait, including food, litter, and veterinary care. We are able to do this with the assistance of our many contributors, in addition to grants from the bissell pet foundation and petco foundation.
spay and neuter. Our foster cats and kittens are spayed and neutered before adoption. This is the most important part of our daily efforts to help control the overpopulation problem. Not only do we spay and neuter our fosters, we also play an important role in helping the public get their pets spayed and neutered through financial assistance.
veterinary care. Our foster cats and kittens are provided veterinary care through many of our local veterinarians. We are fortunate to have their support and they provide discounted services. In addition to routine medical care, we are often called with a report of an injured cat or kitten. We provide veterinary care whenever possible.
