Heartwood Haven does amazing work with abused and neglected farm animals on top of that they are a Vegan facility . In a world where animal agriculture does not only abuse non humans in horrific proportions but also is the number one soil and water pollutant , main reason for the deforestation of our south and middle american rain forests, and the number one reason for climate change , it is important that even sanctuaries lower their footprint as much as possible. As plant based facility they not only do this but also provide proof to a larger community that this is possible. Heartwood Haven also does community outreach providing the public with an opportunity to understand that animals are individuals , worthy of life and happiness. Besides all of the logistics the founders and volunteers have a deep love for animals and not only make sure that every one living there has their physical needs met but also their emotional ones . These animals are loved and appreciated. Many of the animals living there are experiencing love and safety for the first time, several who came in with broken abused bodies and spirits are now blossoming as happy individuals it is a worthwhile cause and endeavour to support.

I met Hope and Kate several years ago at thier home aka sanctuary. They are 2 of thee most kind and giving people I know. They have continued to grow their small sanctuary while tirelessly raising money and helping save animals regardless if they have room or not.

I have been to their sanctuary and have seen first hand the hard work that they do and the love that they have for the animals that they have rescued.
The Sanctuary staff work tirelessly to save chickens, turkeys, ducks, and pigs. They provide top notch care for each and every animal at the Sanctuary!

We’ve done a few tours at Heartwood Haven. It’s such a wonderful place. It’s so nice to see kind humans providing a safe and enriching home for so many animals. They are so knowledgeable, too!
I did a tour of Heartwood Haven for a friend’s birthday - what an overwhelming wonderful experience! Katya was a great guide and loved how she shared the stories of each animal. You can tell that all the animals there were loved and well-cared for but also given the space and attention they needed to start their healing journeys. I was very touched by this experience and would definitely recommend to not only do a tour but to support whenever you can!
Heartwood had an on-site event recently and did a great job making it available to those who could join over Zoom. They are excellent at communicating with their supporters and very positive about their work.
This is a wonderful non profit that does an amazing job rescuing and taking care of animals. They are the best!!! They deserve 5 stars for everything.

I can't say enough good things about this place, or the people who run it. They are a self-less group, who do any & everything to help animals in need. They take in the animals that everyone else gives up on - farm animals. Stray, abused, neglected - they will all be safe & loved once they come to Heartwood Haven. It is truly a magical place, filled with love.

Heartwood Haven does a phenomenal job with social media. They share pictures and videos of the animals that they support and love. The animals are humanized to help those that aren't ready to go vegan or become an activist, take the dive. I'm so proud to be able to take part in what they're doing. Their work gives me hope that the future will be better. Too many animals suffer in factory farms, dairy farms, fur farms, labs, kill shelters, races and hunting grounds, but Heartwood Haven gives many hope that the future will be brighter.
