Mission: Heart of Illinois United Way was formed in 1922 as an independent fundraising organization by Peoria area charities that wanted to focus on helping people, not raising money. We have evolved into much more than a fundraiser. Today we bring people together to solve community problems, using private sector and government resources to address the most pressing needs in central Illinois.
