As a female, ,I had a very horrible experience there today. The male director had approached me, in order to have a talk. He informed me that I would have to take a shower there everyday, immediately upon entering, and I would have to sign an agreement that I would do so. I had explained to a previous staff member that I had pets, but that I could not smell very well, because I am permanently stuffed up due to having moderate allergies and that I had seen an allergist.
He had made it sound as if I had BO, though the smell was from either my backpack or my clothes, like a smell from when people smoke, I presume.
I then left his presence, so that I would no longer be his victim. He had said twice that we were not done, as if I had been hearing challenged, and I had said that I was finished. He had previously told me I had to sign the
the document then & there. He then told me that I had to leave and I told him I was leaving. He then told me I had to leave again, so I had again told him that I had already told him I was leaving.
I did leave and immediately filed a discrimination complaint, based on a disability with the Dept. of Justice.
I ask you readers how does this conduct of theirs respect the dignity of those who walk through their doors?
I would use the computers when I had been there and an employee would tell the guys they could take a shower. It was not at the beginning of the day. I wonder how many of them had been forced to do so?
What a truely horrible.organization to be so overreaching and intrusive in regards to the lives of the people who pass through there. They absolutely did NOT respect me.
