Mission: Heart and Hand Society, Inc., founded in 1980, started in order to rescue and rehabilitate the many stray and abandoned companion animals. In addition to maintaining a shelter for feral cats, we are working to educate the public in responsible pet ownership, promotion of spaying and neutering, and elimination of pet overpopulation and abandonment, and elimination of euthanasia of healthy animals. We do not accept animals for adoption from the public, however, we assist owners in location suitable new homes, and help resolve problems owners face in keeping animals, to prevent owner surrenders to shelters or abandonment of their pets.
