Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: To develope a strategic work plan designed to improve the health of the residents of albany, rensselaer and schenectady counties. To mobilize all segments of the community to make measurable and sustainable improvements in selected and prioritized public health conditions.
Programs: Promotion of the health of the community by offering enrollment assistance to applicants for public health insurance, school-based preventive oral health services, free health services to uninsured adults, and sponsoring educational activities that promote good health and a healthy lifestyle, by facilitating the collaboration of consumers, health and human service providers, and education providers. Hcdi is supported primarily through grants.
