I have been volunteering at the Health and Hope Clinic for 3 years. This clinic provides so many life changing experiences. I have so much pride to be a part of such an amazing organization that goes above and beyond to make a positive impact and give back to our community!

Being a volunteer here has been one of my very best volunteer experiences. Helping the patients, students, and staff is so meaningful, to them and me! This clinic exemplifies the most positive and encouraging atmosphere for healthy bodies and Spirit. I feel sure it makes God happy!!

when i chose to become a volunteer 2 years ago, i had no idea of the positive impact we are making in our community! every tuesday that i serve, i constantly hear patients say how we have saved their lives. we fill every need for them from the service our selfless providers and nurses provide, to the front desk and then the spiritual part. some patients have been waiting for someone to love on them and genuinely care, and we do that very thing. no judgement, no criticism, just the helping hands they need, our patient all leave knowing they are loved and cared for, and i for one, am humbled and grateful to be a small part.

I am honored & humbled to lead the Encourager Team at the H&H Clinic. I have been at the Clinic for about 3.5 years now & my experience has been nothing less than incredible. I thoroughly enjoy serving not only serving our patients but working with the staff & other volunteers. I not only get to be a blessing to our patients by helping & encouraging them but my position allows me to be an encouragement to our staff & other volunteers. I genuinely love the H&H Clinic. It is such an honor to serve my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ at this Clinic where HIS name if high & lifted up.

I have been volunteering in the dental clinic at health and hope for for 8 years now. As we all know , dental work is so expensive; so a lot of people go without until a toothache causes them to seek help at the hospital. All the hospital can do is give them antibiotics and tell them to go find a dentist.These hospital visits cost the hospital thousands of dollars because the people can’t pay for the visit.That is where health and hope comes in. We see these people ,take them out of pain, and address their other dental needs . It is so rewarding to see people go from tears to smiles. I just love love health and hope.

It is an honor and a privilege to be a specialty provider at the clinic. Every time I walk through the doors and see all the amazing volunteers it gives me a sense of purpose and peace. I am comforted to know I have a small part with all of us working together to give our patients access to care, improving their quality of life and healthcare outcomes in a dignified manner.
All of our patients are so appreciative and walk in and out with smiles and usually giving out hugs to the volunteers. All the volunteers are selfless and always thinking of others, making sure everyone has what they need. I also love seeing all the young future medical providers that come through and volunteer, like pre-med, Med students, NP/PA students, Nurses, MAs, Pharmacist, social workers and more, it just takes a village and I'm proud to be part of this one!

Health and Hope Clinic is such an amazing place! The service and environment there is phenomenal. I love volunteering for them. They offer all kinds of services ranging from dental to medical services like chiropractic care and also mental health services as well! It’s really been my favorite place thus far that I’ve volunteered for. I encourage everyone to join whether it may be as a volunteer or a patient.

The volunteers at this clinic were absolutely delightful from the moment I walked in to the provider I saw. I did not recieve any health care for 7 years before I was told about this clinic. I now refer all of my friends and family.

They have a wonderful healthy cooking class on Tuesday that has taught me easy, yummy recipes I can make for my family

When I heard about the Health and Hope Clinic, I was immediately moved by how caring and involved this clinic is in the community. I started volunteering in December 2020, when COVID cases were still highly prevalent, and very few clinics in the area were as involved with patients as this clinic was and still is today. The amount of care, effort, and time that all of the volunteers and providers dedicate towards providing health and hope for the hurting is extremely admirable, and I'm honored to serve as a volunteer at this clinic. For two years now, first starting in the front desk, and now as a medical assistant at the Health and Hope Clinic, I've learned so much about how I could make a difference in the community, work as a team towards providing quality health to the underserved, and have cultivated irreplaceable bonds with this organization.

As a physician who started to volunteer at H&H, I am impressed at the level of care the patients receive their versus some managed care organizations. The formulary is quite good. The staff are always available to help, and the patients genuinely appreciate the care. Leadership is always available for new ideas and suggestions, keeping H&H fresh, innovative, and in-keeping with evidence based practices.

Health and Hope Clinic is a great place to be! I have been a patient with them for 3 years and every appointment brings me hope with my physical health, mental health, and relationship with God. I feel blessed!

I first started my internship at Health and Hope Clinic on May 16th. I must say, my experience so far has been nothing but more than amazing. Each of the departments supervisors and including the director has been very helpful with making sure that I am learning all of the concepts that I need and more. They all communicate very well, projects a great amount of empathy, and are always professional. Since I have been there, I have not been left without any of my questions or concerns not being addressed. Upon completion of my internship, I do plan to return to volunteer some of my time in the near future.

Health and Hope Clinic is there for those that don’t have anywhere else to go. Some patients have not had prior medical care for 10 to 20 years prior to coming to Health and Hope Clinic. I have heard multiple patients say that they truly feel they would not be here today without the clinic and its caring staff. Patients are able to receive free treatment for hepatitis C, see multiple specialists, and primary care all under one roof. The staff truly care about each patient!

I LOVE being a volunteer at Health and Hope clinic. I've been part of the ministry for 10 years. The patients are so appreciative of the care they receive. The volunteers are eager and enthusiastic to serve. I love seeing the many students that come through that are in various healthcare majors. It's always a positive experience at Health and Hope!

Everyone goes out of their way to make a difference in the life's of others. Beautiful program with beautiful people!

The Health and Hope Clinic provides phenomenal care to patients who have no form of insurance and are underserved in the community. Through the Clinic patients receive full medical and dental. Volunteer staff provide nursing, dental, medical services including dermatology, GYN, internal medicine, family medicine and specialty services such as cardiac and office surgical procedures. One could say the Clinic is a 'one stop shop' for medical and dental services. In addition patients receive all of their medications through the Clinic Pharmacy at no cost to the patient. The patients can also participate in a fruit and vegetable program in which they can reduce their cholesterol levels and weight as well. The Clinic offers a Diabetic Education Program in which the patients can learn to self-manage their diabetes thus preventing co-morbidities from developing or worsening. It is a wonderful experience working in the Clinic. I think we all know we are doing something that helps people that would otherwise do without.

My life today would not be the same if I had not heard of and started volunteering at Health and Hope Clinic. It has given me so many opportunities to give back to the community and help those in need. Providing healthcare access to the underserved population has given me new perspectives and has inspired me to continue that service into my career goals of the future. As a student trying to become a healthcare provider, it is largely because of Health and Hope that I am determined to return to Pensacola after schooling to practice as a medical professional in the area, and to continue serving the same community that I grew up loving. It is my hope that one day I will return to the clinic as a health professional and provide their patients with the very same service that I saw that inspired me. Health and Hope truly does offer the best community service that I have ever seen, and I am more than happy to be a part of it now, and for the future.

Health and Hope is one of the best volunteer experiences I've had to date. Not only do they provide free healthcare to the marginalized and under served, but everyone here cares so much about helping people. Great service and smiles all around! Wonderful learning opportunity as well.

I have been an intern at this clinic for over a month and I have been so pleased with what I have seen here. The clinic's services are sorely needed in this area and the clinic has been a blessing to so many members of our community. I look forward to seeing more of the impact that the clinic has in our community!

This clinic provides FREE healthcare to those in the community. Health and Hope provides primary care, but goes above and beyond to reach past that. They offer many specialized services that are so needed in our community. They make the impossible possible and it is incredible to see the difference made in our patients.

I've been volunteering at the health and hope clinic for almost a year now, and it is one of the most inspiring places someone can be. The amount of effort that goes into each patient by a force of full volunteers is truly inspiring. I intend on going to med school, and If I get my MD, I will certainly be returning to pay forward all that they have taught me.

Prior to medical school, I volunteered at the Health and Hope Clinic, Inc. for 3 years. What is truly amazing about the clinic is that it treats every aspect of a patient -- mind, body, and spirit -- in a compassionate, professional, and wholistic way. During my time there, I saw patients achieve significant health milestones: losing weight, improving the management of their diabetes, and even being cured of Hepatitis C. The clinic is expertly run by a very lean staff and a robust team of dedicated volunteers, some of whom have been there over a decade. This is the only clinic in Escambia County, FL that provides such comprehensive care free of charge to uninsured, low-income individuals.
