Tron severe left his job as special needs teacher to become director of healing farms in Charleston S.C..His non profit is for younger disabled adults that are graduating out of high school,,. Unfortunately this is where their education, experiences, and social interactions stop. Healing farms gives these disadvantaged students aplace to continue to learn to thrive, be educated and forge friendships and a chance to obtain a job. They have a working farm a local bakery, day trips to broaden their experiences and a learning classroom. Tron always sees the best in his students and his mission statement is to remove the dis out of ability. The school is thriving because they have been given the tools needed to let them have a life full of enrichment

Mission: To provide sustainable community-based supports that promote inter-dependence and empower adults with developmental disabilities, their families and communities.
Programs: The people overcoming disabilities(pods) program supports adults with disabilities as they transition into life after high school. Participants in the program are put in a group consisting of three other adults with disabilities, a skilled group leader, and two to four interns or volunteers that share similar interests. The groups explore vocational opportunities and enjoy being part of a group and growing as a unit.
