i started volunteering this year as a part of my college class and i was required to go only once but i have decided to return once a week. this experience was a real eye opener i really enjoyed spending time with the kids and the teachers who were very caring and open to answer any question i had going into the teaching field.
I started volunteering once a week in my childrens classrooms. The staff is so helpful and makes you feel very welcome. The children enjoy the extra attention and I was able to have one on one time with so many of them. It is so easy to get attached to them. The teachers can really use an extra hand every day. I wish I was able to volunteer more. I did not really know what Head Start was all about until my children were able to attend school here. This is an amazing program for the children and the families. I want to always be a part of it.
