Christine Zois and The Head Butt Hotel are fabulous! Christine is so knowledgeable about cats and works diligently to give the cats in the Hotel the best possible life. What feline wouldn’t love to live in a house with a catio, extensive playroom full of perches and runs and be lovingly cared for until forever homes can be found.
We adopted 5 year old Waylon Jennings and 2 year old Hamish (formerly Rusty).

Due to my Mom becoming ill we had to find homes for her cats. Christine took the cats in and found homes for them. This was difficult for my Mom and Christine was so helpful and compassionate. She has a wonderful home for the cats and ensures they have a wonderful life while at Head Butt Hotel. She has worked on getting the cats adopted into a home together, even though it was more work for her. We are very blessed to have met Christine and encounter her and her cats at the Head Butt Hotel

I reached out to Head Butt Hotel for help in treatment of my sweet Boots who had been diagnosed with kidney disease. Christine was so loving and she truly cares for these animals healing. I live clear on the other side of the country and she was with me on how to do treatments. Sadly my girl recently passed, but she did so well with treatments for over a year. If I had caught it sooner, I know she would have healed completely.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Zois at my yoga studio and found out that she loved cats. My 5 year old Sofey Ann, had been having issues with urinating out of her litter box and vomiting after each feeding, so one day after class I asked Chris about this. What I discovered was that Chris not only loved cats but has an incredible knowledge base of cats. As soon as I told Chris the story, she immediately asked what food I was using, which was Nutro dry and wet, she explained the high carbohydrates in this food and my cats inability to tolerate carbohydrates and the next day Chris came to class with a large supply of Young Again cat food for Sofey to try. She has not vomited one time after feeding and is using her litter box and is a much more satisfied happy little cat. Chris is an extremely kind and compassionate person and Sofey and I are happy that she came into our lives. Myrtle Beach is very fortunate to have Head Butt Hotel Non-Profit in our community.

I first met Christine and the cats at the Head Butt Hotel through a friend and have come to know Christine and the kitties as I call them. I have found Christine to be a kind, caring, and compassionate person to cats and all animals. These kitties are well taken care of and have a wonderful life at the Head Butt Hotel before they are adopted to their Forever Homes. My role to the kitties is to give them love and attention while they are under Christine’s caring and watchful care. I socialize with the cats, and they are bundles of love when I go over to visit them. They are all purring loudly and make a quick dash to be the first on my lap. I love cats and am what some people would call a Cat Whisperer who has a way with cats. These are happy kitties under Christine’s attentive care and are well fed with the proper healthy foods for their nutrition, well-being, and overall health. One could not ask for a better person to take care of these cats until they are adopted to their Forever Home than Christine Zois.

We had 4 kittens on our property when the mom went missing. The kittens had eye infections and needed help. Of course all the shelters and rescues were full due to it being kitten season. We must have reached out to 30+ places. Head Butt Hotel not only gave us a list of resources, they helped connect us to a foster, who now has the kittens. Thank you so much for your help.

I became acquainted with Christine at the Head Butt Hotel in the beginning of April when she contacted my holistic friend, Pam Roussell about 2 Persians she had who needed adopted. Pam contacted me because I had just recently lost my fur baby Pumpkin of 17 1/2 years at the end of March. Pam sent me pictures of the gorgeous babies . I fell in love with them!!

Christine, Pam, and I started talking about me adopting them. Paperwork was filled out and travel arrangements were made. On April 15 Omlet and Bootsie officially became my new family members! ❤️.

They were gorgeous and you could tell they had been taken great care of! They have given me great joy and many laughs since then.

I highly recommend Christine and the Head Butt Hotel! Her number one concern is that her babies go to a home that is going to put the babies best interest first—great food, no vaccines, holistic person to help with questions you may have!!

Thanks so much Christine! I now have joy in my house again! ❤️

Garfield, my CKD my 19 year old kitty who was actually born in my chest has been with me 19 wonderful years and with the guidance of Christine Zois, hopefully a few more great years. Having started him on Young Again cat food has been an awesome first step. Then added with their treats and meds from the Crazy Cat Ladies, he has really begin to look and feel better! It’s been a dream come true as this is my first experience in a CKD kitty and I thought it was an immediate death sentence! I am a true believer in the food and everything I
have tried on my boy. Garfield is living proof not to give up, just the correct food, appetite increaser and snacks and certain med sure make a big difference in his life style and quality of life! Thanks to Christine and all my rescue friends who made a difference in Garfield’s life!! We both appreciate it so much!! ❤️❤️

I contacted Christine Zois in 2017 when 5 vets gave up on my FIV positivr furbaby Jessica. With Christine's guidance and encouragement, Jessica lived a quality of life for 2 additional years. Jessica was helped across the rainbow bridge on July 3, 2019.
When it came time to get my senior Siamese and senior dog a new companion, I turned to Christine. I adopted a senior bonded pair.
When I went to meet the girls, I was impressed by the sanctuary and rescue home. The cats have freedom to roam from couches to catwalks to the screened catio. The home and cats are clean and cared for.
The adoption application and contact are detailed because she cares for the furbabies. She continues to be a useful resource after adoption.
I am also a foster for her.

Vet took my money for multiply tests then said they could not do anything for my senior cat. One of Jessica's issues was a seizures/strokes that ruptured an eye. Jessica's blood work and other tests showed she was not a good candidate for surgery. I reached out to several rescues for recommendations/suggestions for Jessica's plight. Christine responded and stayed in touch. Two months later, Jessica still has her ruptured eye and is stable.

I met Christine online and she has been extremely helpful with helping me care for my cat Boots. Boots was my mother's cat and my Mom passed away in the fall of 2021. She always referred to Boots as my cat brother. Well big brother is taking care of him right now. And Christine's been extremely helpful in helping me figure out more natural ways of helping with Boots liver disease. She truly cares about the well-being of animals and I'm grateful for the information shes shared. Boots has made good progress on his liver disease. We're not out of the woods yet but his bilirubin is back to normal. One day I know I'll help somebody with their cats liver or kidney disease

After reaching out to 5 other rescues that were unable to take a stray pregnant kitty, I was able to reach Christine at Head Butt Hotel. She is absolutely amazing and connected me with a rescue that took this sweet momma off the street into a loving foster where she will be safe and loved to have her babies, then be adopted out to a deserving home. I am truly grateful to Head Butt Hotel for saving this momma.

Christine Zois goes above and beyond for the fur babies in her care. I found Christine Zois and her rescue online when I moved to South Carolina, she has guided me with several sick rescues and always responds and is very helpful. I have visited Christine, twice. Both times were impromptu visits, so it is impressive that with so many cats her place is so organized and clean! My tour of the dedicated cat room was a delight…their space is very nice! I watched how engaged the cats were. You can see from her video that the room was made for feline fun. Those cats are very well cared for, and they are well adjusted and very friendly. Christine, obviously, pours her heart into these sweet souls. I know she cares deeply for her sick rescues!

My husband and I visited Head Butt Hotel by appointment and met the owner Christine Zois. There are generally about 30 cats, all ages, and breeds and mixes. The home has a large, dedicated Cat Room with upper level runways, towers, multiple litter pans with pine pellets, a great Ventilation system and Air purifier. The cats have 24/7 access to the outside Catio that is large and sheltered from the rain and sun. Fresh food, water and bone broth are available during the day. There are many rooms in the main house for the cats to enjoy with many windows for perching and enjoying the outside activity.

Christine has much experience in what it takes to keep a cat safe and healthy and that means diet and Home Rearing. Many Pet Parents are unaware of the causes of Pet Dis-ease. Today’s food, environment and over-use of prescriptions of antibiotics and steroids - that often do little to Diagnose the Source of Disease, actually set a pet’s health going backwards not forwards. This may be new information that is not addressed by standard pet care and what we see in TV ads.
Christine has very high expectations, regarding how adoptive pet parents will care for the cats, which is wonderful.

Pet Parents that are more inclined towards Holistic, integrative or alternative home care should be very interested in making an appointment to Meet & Greet at Head Butt Hotel!

Please be open to the education and information Christine provides as this is the optimal way to lead your precious cat to a beautiful, healthy, long life! Highly recommend her cat rescue where cats can thrive as they await their forever home!

Christine and I connected via Facebook when I posted concerns regarding my cat's health on a group that we are both members of. From thereon, Christine was a constant support as I navigated my cat's declining health due to pancreatitis. She gave me invaluable advice on how to support my cat's health with both nutrition and supplements. I am delighted to report that my little cat is very much improved and continues to do so each and every day. Christine's heart and her wealth of wisdom on all things related to cat health are an invaluable combination! I praise God for bringing us together! Thank you so much, Christine. :) Vicki Cunningham

I admire how much Christine puts herself into the Head Butt Hotel with her whole heart and soul!

The kitties are calm, happy and they're being treated like royalty there.

On top of this incredible work she does with the rescue, Christine shares with others her invaluable knowledge and experience whenever she can on how to care for their kitties to keep them happy, healthy and away from disease and suffering.

Christine has been a huge help to me with excellent health advice for my large family of cats and dogs.
She began by sharing ways to help with pain and healing for my 11 yr old Gumby cat that had back trouble, then later on she recommended a product that was for keeping rid of parasites in all of my pets.
As well as recommended excellent quality food that I have seen great results in my kitties health and behavior for several months since taking her advice!

I have not seen a nicer rescue anywhere and Christine is clearly devoted to each of her residents. Thank you so much Christine for your wise advice!

Christine Zois and her love and care for animals has led her to educate pet people on taking the best care of their animals. This including educating people on nutrition and all aspects of pet care. Several months ago she reached out to me as I was having some health concerns with my cat Shadow. She gave me some recommendations including feeding information. She gave me a sample of Young Again Cat Food. I now feed my cat Young Again food that she recommended. My cat has become more healthy and I can not thank her enough. She really made Shadow a healthy kitty by her advice. Shadow is 13 years old and Christine I thank you for truly caring for animals.

My cat named Tanner age 6 years old and no clue what he started picky on foods, also lost weight. For 16 months, I was distraught what is wrong with him. Took him to vet, ultrasound preformed, results was mass cell(FIP,cancer or IBS). Knew is his lives will be short. So I was looking replacement via pet finder, quite a few to match Tanner, contacted head-butts hotel about Nelson. Told the owner about Tanner’s condition, not sure is what is next move for me until test results in couple weeks later. Told Christine was FIP positive, so she did redirect to FIP warrior personal and I started GS treatment. As today into late second month treatment, Tanner lives changed due to GS, he gain his weight back, eating his food more than than I even seen in 18 months, energetic cat! I credit to Christine for Tanner’s live changed around! Very pleased his recovery!

A few years ago I trapped a cat that had a big coyote bite on his face. Maggots everywhere, totally infected... never seen anything like that in all my years of Resque. Hope for Paws were so kind to pay for vetting , allowed me to find a Resque .
Head Butt Hotel saw my plea for help and messaged me. Christine Zois invited me to bring Moe from Los Angeles Ca to North Myrtle Beach SC , she even picked us up. It was ONE AMAZING sanctuary, so clean, and you would’ve never thought one cat lives there. She goes above and beyond for her animals. Hope for Paws did NOT follow through with future vetting , since Moe was not neutered and had a lot of health issues.
The Head Butt Hotel is paradise and throughout the years Christine has continued sending me pictures of Moe , inviting me to see him anytime, I stayed a week with them , was even taken back to the Airport . Not once I went to the Beach , heaven was right where I was. The love and care they give to the cats is out of this world. PLEASE DONATE TO Christine’s cause if you can . Every cent goes to the care of these cats and more.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Jo Ann and the fosters through this rescue!! From the beginning when we saw a picture of the kitties we were looking to adopt we were sent several videos before meeting. An in person meeting with our daughters was scheduled shortly after which led to us taking them home that day. Jo Ann helped with coordinating the spay appointments with a local affordable vet. After we brought the kitties home we were dealing with some scratching issues and they were SO helpful in recommending things that worked, sisal scratching posts and cardboard scratching posts with catnip! They are very passionate and genuinely care about what they do and finding the right home for these pets. I would highly recommend anyone looking to adopt new fur babies to use their services!!

Attention to all that love Friends of Head Butt Hotel. This non for profit organization likes to spread fake information so they can get as much money donated as they can. They have no problem to slander people that are just trying to help. For example: post a drug charge about one of their fosters, though the drug charge was of a person with the same last name. They also stated that the foster's brother was the real person and the foster's account was just an alias. WHY, YOU ASK? Because the Person with all the criminal activity shared almost the same name as the foster's brother. Doesn't matter if the first name isn't correct. THEY DID NOT CARE, they just wanted to find dirt on them. They couldn't but this was close enough. Just like sex sells, an abused kitten story brings more money than an accident. If y'all would think for a minute: would you bring the kitten to the organization that you got the kitten from if you maliciously hurt it? I think not. You would go to a vet and say you found this kitten. Furthermore. They accused the fosters of not wanting the responsibility of the bill...also false, as my research shows that they attempted to raise money through a fundraiser. I also researched their public communication, where it stated several times that they will try to pay for it, they are working on it, they are trying their best, just to be kicked and spit on. I do believe this organization is doing a great job for these kittens... but at what expense? I had posted the evidence and asked for them to correct several of their FALSE statements, it has been deleted and I have been blocked. ASK YOURSELF:" is that an honorable organization? They should better vet fosters and educate their fosters. I am collecting information from anyone else that may have had been treated with disrespect and false accusations just as this example. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

April 7, 2021 Update: Our kitten Luke has now found his wonderful loving forever home. He spent months recovering at ECVR in Wilmington, from life threatening injuries incurred 9/6/20, multiple broken bones, teeth, with a dislocated jaw requiring multiple surgical interventions with over 6 weeks of hospitalization. This happened after only 4 days in the care of Cassie Morgan Matthews, a self proclaimed #9 most experienced adopter and her groomer boyfriend, Kyle-Patrack Russel of Myrtle Beach! $4000 in vet bills later, we were able to fully restore Luke's health in spite of the horror he was subjected to at the hands of these animal abusers and neglectors. Sadly, this evidently wasn't their first rodeo; poor Mingo, another tuxedo boy, died from undisclosed causes, not long after his arrival to their home with Chow Chow, who we pray as the remaining kitten in their care, is even still alive and healthy. Some people should never be entrusted with any pets and these are two of them.

Not all rescues are created equal! The love and dedication to animals, Christine has is lucid. She is always there to answer any questions or concern, She believes in a similar dietary plan as I do (Raw and supplements primarily), as well as isn't afraid to take on the harder cases when it comes to felines that other rescues tend to overlook.

I saw a beautiful black baby thrown in a shelter, She needed rescue to pull her and Christine helped me pull her. Before life with me Betty contracted 3 ear infections in both ears as well as was incredibly picky with food in the beginning, with Christine's help Betty slowly widened her pallet and now enjoys almost any variety of food you offer her. She is perfectly healthy and happy now, and it is cats like her that this rescue helps every day.

Christine helped me with my cat, Maggie. I texted her in a panic after Maggie had been diagnosed with Pancreatitis. The vet had kept her overnight and pumped her full of drugs I knew nothing about. When I went to visit Maggie the next morning, I was horrified at her condition.
I didn’t know Christine personally, but I have followed her wonderful Head Butt Hotel non profit on Facebook for years. I have read with great interest information she’s posted on cats’ health. I watched how she rescued sick cats and did everything possible- following her well-informed opinion- to get these cats healthy so they could find loving permanent homes. I knows she truly cares about not only her cats but all.
And she proved it by helping me with Maggie, guiding me to get my floofy girl healthy. I brought Maggie home from the vet following my instinct and the knowledge learned from Christine. After six hours at home snuggled next to me, Maggie’s fever was gone and she began to eat. The vet came to my house to check her and said often pet owners have an instinct, and it proved true with Maggie. She was so shut down at the vet’s that she got sicker. Without Christine supporting me, I wouldn’t have had the knowledge and courage to speak up.
I look forward to visiting Head Butt Hotel this summer. I know I’ll meet happy, healthy, and hopeful cats. If I was adopting, I would trust Christine and Head Butt Hotel.

Christine has pulled pets in need from our shelter before but most recently she and Head Butt Hotel jumped in to save a poor cat that landed in the Marlboro County Animal Shelter missing part of her face! Our vet was not sure if it was trauma, infection or cancer and we could not find any rescue willing to help her. She wanted to live! She played, snuggled, ate food, drank water. It was so frustrating and we had begun to think we would have to euthanize her when Christine called us up and offered to help!!! Baby went straight to a vet specialist and Christine has spared no cost in finding the best medical care for her. Unfortunately, it turned out to be cancer but until the end, Baby is living her BEST life and is happy! Thank you Head Butt Hotel for not being afraid of the hard cases!

I don’t even know where to begin with all of the amazing things Christine and Larry do for our furry friends. My husband and I were first introduced to Christine when i responded to a Facebook post about a black cat named Jeffrey who was going to be euthanized due to litter box issues. I offered to adopt Jeffrey but she was in New Jersey and we live in South Carolina. Christine stepped right in and offered to pick up Jeffrey in New Jersey (she was taking a cat to their furever home up north). After getting all details covered, Jeffrey arrived safely at the Head Butt Hotel in South Carolina on 11/2/19! My husband and I were so excited to give Jeffrey a new home. So far, Jeffrey hasn’t had any litter box issues and has become an integral part of our household-even though she may be eating us of house and home! We can’t thank the Head Butt Hotel enough for all they’ve done for Jeffrey and us. On 12/7/19 we adopted Bootsie from the Head Butt Hotel and our family is complete! All of the cats are getting along. Please find photos of Jeffrey and Bootsie. Much love and hugs to Christine and Larry!

Over a year ago I started looking for a new home for my older cat and recently, a lovely family adopted Sophia. Christine helped me through the entire process. She advised me to get Sophia micro-chipped, she provided me with an editable adoption application and contract, and she advised us to take Sophia to her new home to be sure it was a good environment. We took all of her advice and feel very good about the process and Sophia's new home. While it was heartbreaking to give Sophia up for adoption, she is with a caring family and seems happy. Thank you Christine for all of your help and support!

After loosing my oldest cat to cancer from vaccines over the years, I did not feel it necessary to vaccinate my indoor only cats yearly for rabies , as this is not a virus I could bring home by touching a grocery cart. The county forced me to comply and vaccinate them on a yearly schedule. Upon seeing my distress Christine Zois out of the goodness of her heart and her personal expense ordered and had shipped to me medication to prevent any harmful effects from the vaccines. Christine has more information and research on this subject than anyone I have found to date. And for her to help me out of the goodness of her heart and genuine concern for my cats means so much . Christine Zois and the Head Butt Hotel are the best!.

I was trying to save this poor Kitty off death row, it was around 2 am and I had to find a rescue to pull her for me. The clock was ticking and I only had a few hours left to find a rescue to send in a stop do not euth request, none of the ones I messaged had responded, a friend of mine knew Christine, she messaged her and explained the urgency of the situation, Christine saved my crybaby's life in the nick of time. Crybaby is so sweet and loving, and if not for Christine of the Head Butt Hotel she would not be alive today.

We had a very loving cat for 18 years and she passed away leaving a big hole in our hearts. About a few months after her passing, we decided to adopt in honor of our girl Bianca. I found The Head Butt Hotel online and reached out to Christine. She was very coampassionate towards us, but also very passsionate about her cats and rightfully so! I was very impressed in that she wanted our information so she could do a background check on us. While I was at the facility, I couldn't help notice how spotless and amazingly fresh the cats housing appeared. It was quite a luxury cat palace. Not to meniton, the care the cats received was pretty amazing. The more I learned, the more I realized I didn't know about cats.
Chris educated me and my wife. We thought we knew a lot, but there's always something to learn. Never think you know enuf to get by, because that is not the route to take when you're dealing with livng gorgeous creatures like cats. We all must enlighten ourselves. End of rant! lol When we finally got the seal of approval, we couldn't be happier to give Tesla a loving home! We appreciate you so much Christine and all the best to u and The Head Butt Hotel.

I was lucky to meet Christine at a time when I needed her most.
The education she gave me will help me keep future my kitties healthy.
We visited Head Butt Hotel (LOVE the name!) and we were completely amazed.
Every Cat had a story--with it's own special needs, food, and medication.
How Christine and Larry keep up with each fur baby is incredible!
Just the medications alone and the time it takes to administer them--I just do not know how they do it. I do know they could use some help! Any help would be great. Medications, special diets, and Vet bills are extremely expensive. I started a simple monthly donation and my hope is that others would consider doing the same.
Head Butt Hotel is a spotless place filled with beautiful well cared kitties and LOTS of love!

I wanted to adopt a cat and I had heard about Christine Zois at the Head Butt Hotel. I spoke to her and informed of her my lifestyle and the home in which I lived, which helped us both pick out the right cat for me. I wound up adopting not one, but two kitties. They were so bonded I couldn't take just the one. Christine assured me that if they didn't work out she would take them back, but there was no way I could even think about that. From the moment I saw them, I knew that they would be perfect! They are my babies and I'm so thrilled to have them! Since that time, I have recommended The Head Butt Hotel to my friends and acquaintances. Chris not only runs a cat sanctuary, but this facility goes above and beyond for the care of each animal. I respect Christine greatly, appreciating all of her efforts to provide for these rescued babies, rehoming to loving homes when possible. A huge thanks to Christine, Larry and the Headbutt Hotel for all that you do!

The minute my husband and I saw Mango and Maple in a PetSmart in Charlotte, NC, we fell in love! We were only looking for 1 cat to add to our family, but when we learned they were brothers, we had to adopt them both. I called Jo Ann from your organization, she set up a meeting with their foster parents Lynn & Dan. It was obvious to us that both cats were very well adjusted and very well cared for. We could tell that they were loved in their foster home. They were so helpful and answered any questions we had. They were very thorough and wanted to make sure that both cats went to a good home. Jo Ann, Lynn, and Dan set up a home visit and the next day our boys came home. They are now named Rufus and Wyatt, and they have made our family complete. They are doing SO well and get along great with our other two rescue kitties! THANK YOU for rescuing these wonderful boys and for completing our family!

I had been looking online for a young rescue Maine Coon cat for over a year, when Raven 's picture and description appeared. I fell in love, and promptly filled out the application form. Shortly afterward, the woman still listed among my phone Contacts as "JoAnn Cat Adoption" called me. She took great care to make sure that I was a responsible pet owner and also provided me with great advice on the best foods for a young kitty. I drove two hours to pick up Raven and I was met precisely on time. Her rescuer had done a wonderful job of preparing her for a healthy and fulfilling life in a new home. Raven and I bonded almost immediately and she has been a source of great joy--and entertainment--in my life. JoAnn followed up a few weeks after I brought Raven home and we have stayed in touch every few months to share reports of Raven's complete reign over my home. I deeply appreciate JoAnn's ongoing interest in what has to be just one of dozens if not hundreds of cat adoptions over the years. RA Simon, Winston-Salem, NC

I'm a retired cat rescuer in NYC. In Oct 2017, i was forced to try to rehome most of my cats, due to failing health & financial inability to care for them.
All my rescued cats are 9-10 y.o., from high kill shelters. Despite being shared 1000's of times, nobody was anxious to give them new homes.
Christine Zois, rescuer/founder of Head Butt Hotel cat rescue, reached out to me a mo. ago, offering to take a whole family to Myrtle Beach, despite knowing their ages would mean they'd need extensive dental work + other vet care. She organized & paid for their transport w/o asking me for any $$. 4 of my babies are w/her for past 2 weeks & were already seen by her vet. Again, Christine Zois didn't ask me to donate towards the bill.
They all need dental work!
All 4 cats are serene & so am I, knowing that she'll treat them as if they had always been hers.
This is unusual. I am deeply indebted to her for her kindness towards: Shaun, Shane, Shayla and Pinky.
I can never repay this rescue angel for what she did for a fellow old rescuer (me). Bless her big loving heart.
No words can express my gratitude & relief. Am posting their pics & hope donations for my Cats dental work will be coming her way. Thanks for reading my story^ for your empathy - Katia Sidonie Equale

In October 2012, my life changed when, with the help of Christine Zois (our angel), my furbabies Cuddles & Zoey were rescued from a kill shelter. They have brought such joy, amidst the little challenges (like scratching furniture), life with them has been amazing! They're always here to comfort me at the end of my very stressful days, offering purrs and kisses to this weary heart. My boy Cuddles comes running if he hears me cry in pain from hitting my foot or any physical discomfort in the house, and my girl Zoey is a little love bug who doesn't hesitate to jump in bed or the sofa with me, loading me with kisses, whenever she sees the opportunity. I am blessed to have them, and very happy that I didn't leave one at the shelter, but rescued both, as they're great company to each other, a blessing to me, and I rest in the comfort of knowing we saved two lives. Christine's efforts to get them out of that shelter and transported up to me are forever recognized, and appreciated... the care with which she took, the timeliness, the frequent updates til they were transported, and the follow up afterward. I count my blessings every day to have them here with me, happy and healthy!

There are not enough stars to validate the dedication demonstrated by Head Butt Hotel to the most fortunate and much loved residents. Christine and Larry do more than share a home with these cats, they share their lives. With 25 residents, many of whom require medication or have special needs, there’s always something that needs attention. I appreciate Christine sharing her time and knowledge with me. And did I mention how marvelously clean and groomed the cats and their home were? Twenty-five cats and the home is spotless! I had such a great time meeting kitties I’d “liked” on their Facebook page and playing with them.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Bootsie. I went to see the Persians but left my heart with Bootsie, a precious young lady who sooooo wants a home of her own. Christine says Bootsie is so sad that she no longer runs to greet visitors when the door bell rings. While that may well be true, it only takes her about 10 seconds to greet you with a head butt and 1000 horse power purr. Thank you, Head Butt Hotel for saving these cats for few of them would be alive without you.

My daughter’s cat was suffering from rodent ulcers and after several trips to the vet the problem still persisted. Christine sent me an article on treating the ulcers using Zyrtec. I do and have done cat rescue for many years. I am not affiliated with any one organization but have a love for feral cats and those who have been for all intents and purposed been thrown away by society, those that are sick or replaced with a new and cuter pet or just get old and are no longer valued by their humans and dumped to die at local high-kill facilities. I have a good network of rescuers but had the wonderful good fortune of working with a new friend this year, Christine Zois and Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition . Christine is one of those people like me who when tugged upon by a cat or cats in need, holds on and doesn't let go until they are safe AND healthy. Nothing gets in her way of rescuing but more than that SAVING the health of the cat(s). While many individuals and groups and vets really routinely remove eyes as an example, Christine uses her holistic and historically proven methods to TREAT the malady and save the sight of grossly neglected animals. She is a source of information and guidance to me now as a trusted rescuer who has the whole picture of health and not just the broad-brush approach that so many are inclined to follow. I am grateful for her service to cats and people like me and would recommend her to anyone needing the same. She has a real gift. -Thorn Lewis

My husband and I have been looking for additional Persian as a companion for our 6 yo boy who lost his companion (a dog/boxer he loved) 5 months ago. We also love the Persian breed. I have had 6 in my life, yet only one at a time. However, our boy is very bright and interactive and we could tell being the "only child" wasn't in his best interests, he needed a fun partner to love, play and create mischief with.

I was very surprised at how high the cost was for Persians these days and we weren't ready to invest a house payment, or two, in some cases. I also noticed that there were a lot of on-line scams - which is appalling all on its own. In addition, I guess I wasn't on the right lists or social media accounts to act soon enough when a little fluff became available. I was getting discouraged, but also knew that the right cat/kitten for our home would show up when the timing was right.

Within 3 days of finding Penny (now Penelope) at The Head Butt Hotel (great name, right?) she was in my lap. Christine and Larry go out of the way...I mean figuratively and literally to get these cats where they need to be in safe, loving, attentive and caring homes. Christine drove 4 hours to bring her to our home. She'll never know how much we appreciated this. In addition, she had another cat with her she was delivering even further up the road - she was on the road for 15 hours or more making sure the homes were what she calls an "upgrade" from The Hotel. You've got to admire this commitment.

Also, when Penny/Penelope was taken in by Christine and Larry she wasn't in very good shape, in fact pretty dismal and it took Head Butt 6 months to get here ready for us. I'm so grateful for this. We love her so much. She has a lot of character, which we like and appreciate. She's half the size of our 13 pound boy, but that doesn't stop her. I hope she somehow knows she's where she was meant to be all along to get the love and care for her to thrive. We look forward to sharing a long and fun loving relationship with her.

If we find ourselves ever on the market again for a precious purrfection we will always reach out to The Head Butt Hotel first. Oh, BTW: we

I lost my precious Sweetie around Thanksgiving, leaving Duffy, my beautiful Orange Maine Coon Male, to be an only cat. He adjusted well so it was just the two of us. Suddenly Duffy took sick on a Saturday and by Monday morning I had a dead kitty. I was heartbroken. I wanted another orange male and Maine Coon would be nice too. I looked online and after some searching I came across two 9yo Maine Coons, probably siblings, who needed to be adopted together. What a perfect match. Only problem, is, I was in Raleigh, NC and these cats were in North Myrtle Beach, SC. After talking to Christine, she volunteered to drive, on Easter Weekend, 4 hours to deliver these two gorgeous cats to me. She could not have been more generous or caring, offering to come back in 2 weeks if the placement did not work out. Needless to day I was in love with these two from the moment I saw their picture, so the placement was ideal. Christine was always available to me by email or text or phone to answer any questions and help with their adjustment issues. I know the next time I am in North Myrtle I will stop by and see the accommodations that Christine and Larry have provided for these wonderful animals who just need a second chance.

What a wonderful organization. My daughter was having serious health issues and we had to part with our beloved fur babies. It was such a blessing to have compassionate people help find outstanding homes for them. I can't thank you enough!

I have been fostering kitties with them for about a year. Great rescue. Great experience saving babies from Gaston Animal Control so they are not euthanized.

My experience with FCFC has been absolutely phenomenal. They are not only professional & friendly but are also completely devoted to rescuing animals in need & ensuring that they find the loving, forever homes that they all deserve. Earlier this year I adopted the sweetest, most beautiful cat anyone could ever hope to meet (now named Sekai) from FCFC. I found him through PetSmart Charities, who partner with FCFC for adoptions. I was required to fill out an application which asked me questions not only about myself but also questions about cat care. This made it evident to me that they work tirelessly to ensure that only responsible and knowledgeable people are able to adopt. Once my adoption was approved by Joanne (who spoke with me personally) I was able to take Sekai home immediately. In the following months Joanne has checked in on us regularly & even added me on facebook so that she could stay regularly updated on Sekai's well being. FCFC has honestly restored my faith in humanity to do right by animals. The amount of love and care that goes into their adoptions is astounding. Thank you so much FCFC for a wonderful adoption experience & for uniting me with my best friend!!

Feline Canine Coalition is an excellent rescue! We at Shelter Animals Advocates HeartBeat campaign rescue heartworm positive dogs from Aiken County SC shelter and raise funds for HW treatment and place them with other no kill rescues, Feline Canine Coalition has helped us by taking on several of our HeartBeat dogs particularly pit buls, which most rescues won't touch. Feline Canine is very responsible and caring, they do what they say they are going to do which is unfortunately rare in rescue . Here are a few of the dogs rescued with the help of Feline-Canine Coalition. ~Mary Lou Seymour Rescue Co-ordinator Shelter Animals Advocates

I was able to visit Christine and all the furry babies at the Head Butt Hotel recently and it was amazing! This organization helps animals far and wide. These cats are so well taken care of and are happy and healthy! She goes to extra lengths to make sure each cat has its needs met and exceeds those. She also ensures that they get the best homes and thoroughly selects adopters! If you can't foster, you can do what I'm doing and be a "virtual foster." You can sponsor a cat for 6 months and that helps with their care and needs. I'm so glad I got to go by and pick mine out-Riley Finn -the senior from Greenville :)
Thanks again for all you do for the animals FCFC!

I can't say enough positive things about FCFC and Christine. This is a rescue that is all about the animals and their welfare. Christine goes above and beyond to ensure that potential adopters are appropriate and a good match for the animal. She takes excellent care of the rescue's cats and dogs and expects and insists that adopters do the same. She makes it clear that the animals are her priority -- not money (although, like all rescues, there's never enough), not rescue politics/drama, not a rejected applicant's hurt feelings. FCFC is exactly what a rescue should be.

Christine is Like mother Theresa for animals, her tireless efforts go above and beyond what I expected to see at a Shelter. These animals are well loved and cared for in every imaginable way. Larry is also a hard worker and deserves an award for being so attentive. They work very long days and nights to keep the space cleaner than some people hospitals. To visit is a pure pleasure and so rewarding with tons of love from the kitties. I called it Disney for cats when I visited the HeadButt Hotel.

Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition and their accompanying Head Butt Hotel are doing so much right! This is an organization that I entirely trust to take care of the rescued animals properly. Christine Zois helped me tremendously in regards to an abandoned cat and dog who were living caged for 2 years. She immediately started looking for foster homes for both pets and sent me special food for the cat who had become seriously obese. Although, another rescue place ultimately came through with the placement for the dog and I ended up adopting the cat, Christine continued her valuable follow-up throughout the whole process. She had good advice about how to manage the health issues for this cat and is genuinely caring. I've come to know many details about how carefully she runs the Head Butt Hotel. The cat hotel and the coalition together are working non-stop to help so many cats and dogs. Please help them help the animals. You can sponsor an individual cat monthly or give flat donations. Each dollar helps tremendously.

Below are photos of Angel dog and Rufus cat in their respective new homes. Rufus has already lost about 10 ounces --down from 16.1 lbs and is no longer having trouble walking. She even leaps onto table tops and sprints across the apartment! Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition helped with her initial diet change.

I know of one special cat who is happy that the Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition exists and was so willing to save his leg and life!! Here is his story:

My name is "Hunter" and I am from Huntington, WV. I was severly injured and living in the streets for months when a nice lady and her husband finally caught me!! The lady called every local rescue and could not get help for me but she knew My life was worth saving so she reached out to Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition about 9 hours from me and in another state and the rescue did not hesitate to save my life! Even with all the unknowns of my vet bills and my quality of life they said YES!!!

The vet said I have had my leg and eye injury for many many months..tendons have been exposed, etc. I am still under the vets 24 hour care (for my second week) for bandage changes daily. The vet told the FCFC that my leg will NOT require amputation and I am a very happy sweet natured boy and will make some family a great addition! Imagine that...a family of my very own!!! I would never have the opportunity to experience love if it were not for this rescue!!!

Sincerly,
Hunter the Cat

I am currently serving in the US Military. Before my first deployment, I needed help trying to find someone to foster my two babies while I was gone. Christine being the wonderful woman she is found a foster home for my babies until I returned and offered to take them in until I had found a place of my own to live in. This is a great organization and they care about animals as well as the humans!!! It's been a wonderful experience and stay in contact quite frequently!!

FCFC is absolutely wonderful! We just adopted our little Super Nova from them. When they got to him, he was extremely emaciated. Skin and bones. His before pictures are heartbreaking. He was sent to his foster mom, Tammy, who took the absolute best care of him. He doesn't even look like the same dog! It's amazing what a little food and a little love can do. He loves life. It's amazing how these amazing creatures continue to love, even when they've been dealt the short end of the stick for so long. My husband and I are so grateful for what FCFC and Tammy have done for our little guy.

I cannot say enough good things about Feline Canine Fellowship Coalition. Our dog Dewey had a horrible start to life, but he was lucky enough to be saved by this great organization. He was heartworm positive, starving, and in a high kill shelter. FCFC worked with other organizations to have him treated and brought to PA to find a forever home. After we found him, I was expecting to have a long, drawn out, stressful time waiting to finally get approved to bring him home. I'm so happy to say that the adoption was as easy as can be. They were very thorough to make sure that we were the right fit, but the whole experience was pain free .

Today Dewey is a healthy, happy goofball who makes us laugh every day. Without them he would not have had a chance, and we are forever greatful that they gave us our boy.

This is a very personable rescue in that they want to know you so they can make sure that you and your kitty/kitties are a good match. I have adopted from FCFC more than once with great success. I have also learned a great deal about healthy food and kitty health from Christine. This rescue will sometimes choose senior kitties that have lost their guardian or a kitty that need medical attention that they can help become a healthy and happy kitty again. They don't just choose young kittens to help and I'm very proud to know there is a group out there like FCFC helping the kitties that really need it.
