Thanks to HAWA, my Tilly is a Trap/Neuter/Return saved kitty from a stray colony under a stage at a Rec. Park on the river walking trail. These folks do an incredible service for this community and its stray population. Just this Sunday there was a father and son in front of the grocery with a box marked "Free Kittens." I had to go over and see inside and there were two adorable baby kittens just like Tilly was when she found me beside the river. They had been there for a while and had not been able to give away. They said there were several strays in their neighborhood. I immediately talked with them about the TNR folks for the babies and their colony of strays multiplying over and over. They were so happy to learn about this resource and decided not to stand there any longer, but to seek out a real solution on Monday. We are so lucky to have HAWA's TNR to help solve a real problem in Haywood Co.
