It's an amazing organization and certainly unprecedented in the area! They help all women, children, men, and families who have suffered from violence and sexual abuse. From their state of the art shelter to the wonderful counselors, I've never seen anything like it.

Hays Caldwell Women's Center provides support for victims (and their families) of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Hays and Caldwell Counties. As a volunteer with HCWC, I can’t say enough good things about the vital services they provide in the community and the top-notch staff and volunteers associated with this organization. I have worked with and/or observed HCWC shelter staff, professional counselors, volunteers, administrative staff and board members. The high level of knowledge and expertise demonstrated by each of these individuals constantly amazes me. They are dedicated, sincere and passionate about the work they do and the people they serve. HCWC is a solid and valuable asset in the community. I feel very fortunate for my association with this organization and thankful for the good work and inspiration they provide on a regular basis.

This non-profit, which is vital to the needs of Sexual Assault, Family Violence and Child Abuse victims and their families, is very well run. Our Executive Director is both very competent and compassionate. She guides the financial affairs of this organization precisely and hires the most qualified and dedicated staff. As you can read in other reviews, our staff makes a real difference in real people's lives. That is why I am so proud to be associated with HCWC, and proud to be a contributor to this non-profit.

I first received services when my 1st husband broke into our house.Thru counseling I worked through many issues from my childhood abuse that caused me to be in unhealthy relationships.I was able to break out of the abuse of a second marriage that lasted 10 years. Now at 51 years old I am in my 1st healthy relationship and it is wonderful. My son is going on 17 and has watched the positive changes in me. I broke the cycle!

The Hays-Caldwell Women's Center is a vital community service in San Marcos and in Central Texas. In addition to the wide array of services offered to women, children, families, and the community, HCWC provides outstanding professional education opportunities for students at Texas State University in mulitple disciplines. As a social work educator, I appreciate the outstanding opportunities this fine agency and its dedicated staff provide our students and the people they serve.
