Mission: The primary mission of boys & girls
Programs: In 2016, the boys & girls clubs of hawk-houston, inc. Served over 300 youths and successfully maintained and expanded the quality of its programs and services to at-risk youths in k-12. The programs and services included: homework assistance, tutoring, kids college (improving reading, math and science skills) act tutorial prep classes, act fee waivers, assistance financial aid and college applications, youth of the year, mentoring, community gardening, job skills training, field trips, skills mastery and resistance training (smart) classes on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, peer-pressure, premature sexual behavior, developing strong self-image and self-esteem, the arts, arts and crafts, sports/fitness and recreational activities, computer and internet classes, and volunteer community services.
