I was able to help Hawaii Rise Foundation on more than one occasion with service projects benefiting our community. HRF has allowed me to to fulfill my role and duties as a state title pageant holder by allowing the opportunity to be a part of their service. They are a great example and role model of what it means to be a active member of your community.
Hawaii Rise Foundation goes above and beyond to help those in our community with all aspects of life - from our keiki to kupuna. As a credit union within our community, it was a natural fit to work with Hawaii Rise to help bring financial education to youth. They have helped connect us with multiple organizations over the past few years to give Money Basics presentations and Reality Workshops. This kind of knowledge is so crucial for our youth to be successful as they get older and start to manage their own money.
Hawaii Rise also has pivoted during this pandemic to offer more virtual community classes that we've been lucky to be a part of. They cover a wide variety of helpful topics and it's open to anyone.
What they do for our community is so valuable and we are a better island because of them. Mahalo Hawaii Rise Foundation!
Hawaii Rise has been an invaluable asset to our community of Keaukaha especially thru the covid19 pandemic, supporting families with basic needs, and even creating online events for engagement while everyone has been at home. If you havenʻt, you should definetly check out one of their programs. Mahalo Hawaii Rise!
Hawaii Rise has been able to help me and so many others in the community to serving the local people during the pandemic and to providing opportunities to others. Hawaii Rise has a done a fantastic job for providing people free community workshops and classes to learning fundamentals in our hawaiian culture to health to finance to cooking to mindset to language. The amount of diversity, love and support they provide creates a wonderful and truly genuine non profit mission.
Hawaii Rise Foundation has really helped our community. During this pandemic they jumped in and started making packs for the Kupuna to have food, produce and toilet paper delivered to their homes. They also helped the kids and made packs for stay at home learning. I know that they also give free CPR classes to kids and set up community days at the beach to support and celebrate native hawaiian culture/customs. Big mahalo to you guys!
When I was awarded with a scholarship of theirs, they really did the most to congratulate the winners. They were extremely friendly and I can’t thank them enough for their generous gift. The money will be going towards my first year at UH Hilo. They also host a variety of other activities such as Kupuna pack giveaways, community days, keiki school kit giveaways,
Help with YCA cadets, CPR certification classes, and much more. Such an awesome organization helping the many communities of the Big Island.
Hawaii Rise Foundation has changed my life. I feel like before I became a volunteer I always saw needs and thought someone should do something about that, someone should help them! I got involved at first helping with the Youth Challenge Cadets and helping them learn how to prepare for an interview and build a resume. Then HRF helped me to fulfill a life goal of creating my own scholarship in honor of my sister. Wherever there is a need HRF shows up, whether it is for the Keiki needing school supplies or Kupuna learning how to use their iPhones. Now when I see a need I think what can I/we do? I am a better person because of Hawaii Rise Foundation.
Hawaii Rise Foundation has helped thousands of people in the Hawaiian community. This non-profit has made great progress with its grassroots efforts. Hawaii Rise Foundation is on the front line of making an impact on the Big Island. Native Hawaiians need support. This organization is making strides every day to make a better Hawaii, through education, community building, and preservation of Native Hawaiian ways.
Hawaii Rise Foundation is truly addressing the needs of the community. Their efforts in providing Kūpuna (elderly) with free resources and meals/groceries have been such a blessing to Hawaiʻi. They see that our Kūpuna needs support, and the programs they have created do such that. Mahalo Hawaii Rise Foundation for all that you do!
