Mission: The hawaii leadership forum is a societal change organization dedicated to advancing leadership in and for hawaii. We seek to cultivate the conditions in which hawaii thrives.
Programs: Omidyar fellows - in 2017, the omidyar fellows fifth cohort completed their curriculum phase as we started an emergent evaluation process to learn from our experience and to evolve as all things are required to most effectively fulfill our mandate and mission. Through this evaluation, our identity shifted from a leadership development program to a societal change program. The omidyar fellows curriculum and program galvanizes tranformative leadership on the individual, organizational, and network levels, using program elements that include executive coaching, peer and cohort learning, leadership conversations, and an out-of-state learning excursion. The fellows continue post-commencement as change agents in service to solve the most significant problems facing hawaii.
community leadership development - sponsoring public talks and a speaker series on contemporary issues that will influence and impact more effective leadership. Providing national speakers (such as david stroh on systems thinking and sacha pfeiffer on the transformative power of spotlighting the truth) to the local leadership community including for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors.
well-being data project (fka hawaii prosperity index) - adapting the legatum prosperity model of income and well-being to produce local rigorous societal level data and trends to provide a well-researched understanding and articulation of the current state of prosperity in hawaii with baseline metrics for a longitudinal study.
