Mission: Hdr's mission is to work in collaboration with private and public partners to develop and implement a comprehensive vision and master plan to revitalize downtown harrisonburg into a prosperous and vibrant city center.
Programs: Promotion of the downtown district's unique qualities to potential customers, investors, new businesses, local citizens and visitors through effective strategies and special events. Organized community events and festivals such as valley fourth, block party in the burg, halloween on the square, and rocktown beer and music festivals. Held retail promotion events such as taste of downtown and shop 'til you drop.
