Mission: Harmony Mountain Treatment Services is a non profit organization that helps people with behavioral health treatment and addiction recovery. Under the direction of Dr. Richard Diffenderfer. We provide sober living houses for people in recovery from drugs and alcohol. Our goal is to help, treat, and provide assistance to people in these circumstances in order to get them back in our communities clean, sober, and contributing by getting jobs, volunteer work and or going back to school. We help the get their lives back on track for themselves, their families, their friends and their community.
Results: Some have come in from living under a freeway overpass, in the bushes near the railroad tracks and in many conditions that no human should bare. They feel lost and out of control of their lives. We start with them going to meetings with housemates, learning to take better care of themselves Then they learn responsibility again by contributing in chores. They start making small goals to accomplish to get their lives in order. We have seen so many eventually get jobs..get enrolled in school and get their lives back by working with our therapist, caseworkers and housemanagers. They start to feel a direction to life goals again and therefore can contribute to society again which gives them meaning and purpose which leads to a happier, healthier self.

Our program is designed to take care of someone who lost control of their lives. They have come from places of despair where the days feel hopeless from the grips of their addictions. They connect with housemates and start going to meetings, next they learn responsibility again by chipping in with chores. All the while of meeting with their caseworker who guides them to accomplish short term life goals. They get a sponsor they can call at anytime for support. They eventually get back in control of their lives and get jobs, go to school and start believing there is hope again. Its great to see them reconnect with family and living a life of sobriety.
