Mission: Conduct anti-gun violence awareness & support services
Programs: First responders and therapeutic program for city wide training for those who lost a loved one to gun violence. Training consists of social and emotional support for families. Trained persons as violence interrupters. Conducted biweekly peer to peer support groups for parents. Group co-facilitated by hms founder and mental health clinician.
community engagement alternative to violence programming that seeks to provide positive reinforcement to youth and the community at-large. Programming included hosting 15 syep youth, summer play street, basketball tournament, intergenerational programs, anti-violence conferences and seasonal family activities.
