I have been working with the Harker Heights band since 2007 with my 4th child currently in the band. The Harker Heights Band Booster Club have done an amazing job of helping to take care of most matters needed that does not require music degree. This in turn has allowed the 3 band directors at Harker Heights High School to use their music degree to teach and show a genuine interest in each student in their bands regardless of their individual specialty and help them to be the best they can be. Because of this the Harker Heights Red Brigade Band received straight 1's at the UIL marching contest this past October. The overall achievement is those students who go through this program are better students, citizens, and leaders when they graduate and move with the rest of their lives.

Mission: Music is a fundamental piece of the human experience. Music Education is therefore a necessary endeavor to ensure that the whole child is being educated. This includes skill development, cognitive understanding, and aesthetic appreciation for many forms of music. The primary objective of the Harker Heights High School Band Boosters is to help develop the performance, rehearsal, and personal practice skills of each student. The vision for the program is to have "Pride, Courage, and Integrity" in all we do.
