I have been working with this wonderful organization for 10 years. I have mostly donated food, clothing, toys, and toiletries to this organization so they could distribute them to those in need. My children and I have organized carnned food drives at the office and at school in addition to Holiday Toy Drives donating over 500 toys and $1,300+ in gift cards. Harbor Interfaith has many different services from temporary and transitional housing to preschool, day care and afterschool care for the children of clients.
Harbor Interfaith Services not only provides their client families in the South Bay community groceries, including fresh fruit and vegetables, twice a month to supplement their existing food supply. They connect clients with resources available to them and provide assistance filling out the proper forms and filing them for those who may not know these resources exist or how to obtain access to these services.
Everyone who works or volunteers at Harbor Interfaith has a BIG heart and a willingness to help others. I Love being a part of something much bigger than myself.
Harbor Interfaith Services provides a critical service to the community. Every community afflicted by homelessness and poverty needs a place like this where people can receive caring support and maintain their dignity in a safe and stress-free environment. This kind of support can lead to major transformations in people's lives. I am in awe of the building, which gives clients an uplifting and clean place to go in a crisis. The staff and volunteers are wonderful, professional and respectful. One of my family members went here while homeless and attests that it provided a refuge and resources that led to opportunities for change. I am so grateful for places like Harbor Interfaith Services.
