Mission: The mission of harbor is to provide help, hope, and safety to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Programs: To provide 24-hour crisis intervention and counseling as well as courtroom advocacy, hospital room assistance, employment, housing assistance and 45-day transitional shelter to victims of rape, domestic violence, sexual assault, and displaced homemakers. Provides empowerment groups for women and children as well as parenting classes. The staff offers training programs in the schools and through the community. Volunteers donated services to help at the shelter and to provide counseling. Materials were donated for use in the harbor's programs. Volunteers assist in the shelter, court proceedings, and with other services as needed. Volunteers are not typically counselors. We have more volunteers in court and with the sexual assault program than any other program.
