This rescue has spayed and neutered so many of the strays in my neighborhood. They also spayed and neutered cats that I rescued. They even helped my neighbors get their cats neutered. The effort they put into cat rescues is incredible.
I'm not sure what the other person is talking about, "selling a kitten". No rescue sells animals. Most of them lose money on adoptions and rely on donations. The cost of food, vaccines, spay/neuter and medications is so much higher than an adoption fee. As for the ringworm, this can happen to anyone. Most of the time it is undetectable until the missing fur is seen.
This non profit animal rescue sold us a kitten that has ringworm. my sister in law had the same thing happen to her. they refused to compensate us for the treatment. my wife who is blind also has a guide dog they both have spots now and are being treated as well. In the future make sure the animals are healthy before selling them off.
