Happy Jack Cats is among the top rescue organizations that I know about. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, compassionate group of volunteers than those who donate their time to the HJC cats and kittens. They go the extra mile to rescue felines from bad situations and spend time and dollars to get them healthy enough for adoption. By the time the kittens are ready for adoption, they have been well socialized, vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Equally as important, HJC screens applicants for the best possible match with an adoptive human family. HJC volunteers are always educating others in the community about the benefits of spay/neuter and proper pet care.

Happy Jack Cats, Inc. (HJC), is a wonderful and much needed nonprofit organization! If we were to describe ourselves in one word, that word would be kindness. HJC is a foster-based, rescue and adoption group with an emphasis on saving the lives of kittens. Incorporated in 2015, HJC is new to the Treasure Valley, but GROWING beyond all expectations. In 2016, we were able to spay or neuter and find homes for approximately 380 cats/kittens. We expect to help that many and more in 2017. Adoption isn't the solution to the feline overpopulation problem in our communities. Spay and neuter is, but there are still breeding animals living in our communities. Kittens are still being born that will be euthanized, die of starvation, the elements, or abuse. It breaks our hearts to see these helpless little ones struggling for life in a hostile world. That's where Happy Jack Cats comes in! We take in as many orphans, expectant and nursing mothers, abused and stray cats/kittens, as the number of foster homes and funds available to us will allow. Sadly, there are always more babies than we can handle. We are not limited by lack of will, but only by funds and fosters. At this time HJC does not have a physical location, but hopes to in the future. We would so much appreciate your "kind" support.
