Whatever you do, DO NOT surrender your pets to this shelter. It’s managed by a board of directors that cares only for their own egos, power and money.
The ‘shelter’ confines cats to cages In a filthy environment. No air conditioning this summer. Temps inside the shelter of 84-100 degrees while the board president laughs at any who complain. Meanwhile the cats that are trapped are trapped in the shelters cages suffer, if it gets too hot the cats may suffer illness, brain damage, death. There will potentially. E no heat this coming winter.
Have a look at the pictures. Slum doesn’t cover it. They mop maybe once a week. The cages haven’t been thoroughly cleaned or sanitized for more than a year and a half.
Some of these cats have been caged there for as long as EIGHT years. Yes you read that correctly. EIGHT years. Two cats to a CAGE for nearly 3000 days.
The med team claims care and compassion yet allows cats to languish even when ill. One kitten had what the meds team thought was a viral infection it was treated with drops. Two weeks they let this kitten languish in his cage. Turned out to be feline chlamydia that nearly killed that kitten and made his cage mate/brother very ill. It’s a highly contagious Uralic infection. Not one other cat was tested or treated. Cats were adopted & sent to adopters homes WITHOUT BEING TOLD that the cat the adopted might be infecting every other cat in their home. And if the adopters other cats are elderly? Such an infection could kill.
Have a look at the tax returns and see if you are outraged by the discrepancies. Board expenses reported in 2018 & 2019 of $25,000 to pay for a volunteer board. Office expenses of nearly $10,000, for what? A broken down desk & 2 well-used file cabinets from the ReStore? In 2019 credit card processing fees were listed on the 990’s a totally more than $7,000. That would equal more than $350,000 in sales for a shelter who also reported just over $100,000 as its revenue for the same year. So where is the other $250,000?

It’s our taxes that are paying for this. And these cats suffer while those in charge that ‘claim’ to care do nothing besides complain.
Read the tax returns. File complaints with the IRS. Bring these cats OUT of this shelter, give them somewhere that is actually safe to live.
