9 years ago I was catapulted, heart first ,into this desert I now call home. I had endured 2 personal battles with breast cancer that created an absolute vortex of chaos in my life. My scars were not only physical, but those type of scars that seer so deeply into the soul that traversing the days seemed an impossibility. It was at this time I had the very wonderful fortune to be introduced to Lauren and her HEAL family. I was blessed during my cancer journey to have never needed help of any kind, I had money, I had a beautiful house to rest in, I had food to feed my sons, I had nothing to worry about except my treatment plan. HEAL opened my eyes and my heart simultaneously- what Lauren does for women suffering through the minefield that is cancer , is remarkable.
The committed community Lauren has built is nothing short of angels at work on earth.
The assistance HEAL provides to these families cannot be measured in dollars, but only in love. I play the lottery sometimes and fantasize about winning it so I could show up at Lauren’s HEAL house door and say “ here you go, this is for you Lauren, keep HEAL going forever.”
Lauren is the essence of dedication-under Her tutelage women have hope, help and a place that provides strength for the very difficult journey. Children have a sense of not feeling alone and terrified as the mothers they love so ardently, navigate chemo.
HEAL is an amazing organization- please help wherever You can , however you can
This non-profit and those who work to keep it going is truly a blessing for many women who are facing the biggest challenge of their life; beating cancer while also having to be a strong, warrior mama. HEAL is a place of refuge for them and their kids. It is a place where they can get both emotional and financial assistance to help them continue to move forward.
Amazing nonprofit with an extremely caring staff. What they do for families and women battling cancer is inspiring.
Incredible non profit that not only provides emotional and financial help to moms going through cancer but adds additional layers of support to the whole family. When the pandemic hit, HEAL was able to still provide support to the families even with drive up Pantries. They also provided backpacks and school supplies to our families that were going back to school last month.
Looking forward to helping the HEAL families with the upcoming holidays as well.

I have seen first hand how HEAL offers not only financial support but emotional support as well. The monthly events at the HEALing House offer a sense of community to these survivors. Some of the moms do not have extended family near by and we see many women connect at the HEALing House. The events are always uplifting and don’t focus on cancer.
The Pantry that HEAL offers can really help the women offset some of their costs.
It is offered monthly at the HEALing House.
HEAL does it all supporting moms diagnosed with cancer and their families with school supplies, grants and holiday events.
This non profit continued to give grants thru the pandemic and continues to help moms going thru cancer treatment. HEAL is a remarkable resource for our community.

This nonprofit was started because of a young mother who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and knew what it was like to have to continue to care for her 3 children the youngest under a year of age. Knowing that there were other moms that did not have the support of were in financial straits she started this program to help them with grants to cover some of their needs. No one is denied and the HEAL organization has continued to evolve over the last 15 years. There is now a HEALING HOUSE with a pantry for the moms to shop (free) of course and back to school programs, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas shopping so all children have gifts Christmas morning and the list goes on. This is truly a wonderful addition to the community that she never imagined that would happen. This far exceeds all expectations.
My daughters and I have been volunteering at HEAL for about 5 years now. HEAL is an amazing nonprofit organization that helps so many mothers, children and families. The smiles on everyone’s faces when they leave HEAL makes us so happy! We are so excited to welcome the new mini therapy ponies!
Cancer is incredible hard and sad to deal with but having a place like the Heal House with the Happy Ever After League makes the journey easier for moms with cancer. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew these volunteers would be life long friends. They have fed my family when we had nothing to eat, they have dried my tears on so many occasions, and they have become part of ever holiday and celebration. This is a nonprofit that provides direct assistance for mom's with cancer. The pantry each month is something our family relies on and the celebrations, well those make this life worth living. Everything they do helps us cope with cancer and its effects, even though we usually don't talk about cancer while we're there. Instead we enjoy each other's company, learn new things, make crafts and make forever friends. Thank you Lauren and the Happily Ever After League for all you do!!!! You are my angels.
HEAL is a wonderful resource for moms undergoing cancer treatment. They truly make everyone feel like family and give not only the moms but the entire family a place to truly HEAL.

The Happily Ever After League helped me financially no questions asked when I got diagnosed with cancer. They changed my world from my first phone call to them just a year ago giving my son a college scholarship. I cannot put into words how this organization has changed mine and my families world. At times it was pay the bills to continue treatment or eat. There food pantry helped supplement many times. The Healing House provides great relief and when you are there at peace. I have since moved away but would love to see this organization in other places.
I have both volunteered at and participated in many events sponsored by HEAL over the years and I am always blown away by the hard work, commitment and compassion of the members of this organization and the number of lives they have touched!
Lauren and her entire team, which includes therapy horses and a pig, gives a mom enduring cancer treatment a glimpse of hope that life can still be amazing, even during the most trying of times. The benefits of the Happily Ever After League (HEAL) to moms in treatment are above and beyond words. From their very own Healing House with fully stocked pantry offerings, to special events for moms to have a little pampering to help in healing, to the genuine heartfelt giving provided...saying thank you is not enough. This is an award winning non-profit started for all the right reasons and has continued to grow in service to women in treatment...and beyond. Thank you, Lauren!
HEAL is a grass roots, hard working organization with solid leadership that stays focused on their goals. HEAL has helped so many people over the years with financial assistance. They also offer access to their well stocked food pantry, supportive programs and events at the HEAL house, and now the healing provided by new therapy animals! I'm a very proud supporter of HEAL and am always impressed by all they continue to accomplish for those in need.

Happily Ever After League made such a tremendous difference and is blessing to me and my family when I was diagnosed and going through treatment. Unlike other non profits, they don't limit assistance to just mom's with breast cancer. The monthly pantry day, and activities for the families help me to know I am not in the fight alone. Everyone from intake to volunteer are genuine in there care and support. I love HEAL!
I loved coming here when I was a child . Seeing everyone having fun and entertaining each other was amazing . I love how they help and give back to anyone who come here . 15 years and no mom has ever been turned away. Truly a place to celebrate all that moms give of themselves getting a little bit back.

The HEALing House, a place for the Happily Ever After Programs, is magical. It is a place where the moms and their families can come once a month for a special event, they get to know each other socially, their kids become friends and look forward to seeing each other. The volunteers provide on site babysitting, crafts, providing a meal and allowing the families to just relax and chat...it is an unstructured support group where cancer may not necessarily be the focus...they are all moms first. The events are all themed, non are about "CANCER", no pink ribbons, just the holiday of the month, or a guest artist to share their talent, or a dinner for two served restaurant style. They can also come to shop the Pantry( our food bank ) once a month, a great help to most of our families. We often provide a craft to do then as well, the house is for our moms to enjoy and relax
LOVE this organization!!! My family was impacted by breast cancer and I can’t imagine being a single mom fighting alone, The Healing House has helped so many single women be strong and get through their battles! They are a very inspiring nonprofit that deserves all the best!!
I have been attending the most wonderful events at Happily Ever After League since 2010 with my family while battling non Hodgkin lymphoma . The members and volunteers Of Heal House are the most selfless and caring people!!! Going through cancer treatments is scary and so very hard on the patients and their families. So getting away with your family for a few hours at one of the awesome events is more than a wonderful blessing! It allows us to forget what we’re going through and just have fun and the smiles on our families faces are priceless!! They not only have the events they also have a food pantry that has been an awesome blessing for my family. They also help with school supplies, Christmas and so so much more!! I for one am so very honored to share my experience with all the beautiful angels of Happily Ever After League. Gina Lopez and family
What a fantastic organization. I have watched you through the years help moms with cancer and their children. As a cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand how valuable loving support is and how it helps you get through it. Your assistance through family events and personal help. Heal is a blessing beyond measure!
I was Lauren’s daughters teacher when I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I had a 4 year old at the time and was in the middle of a divorce. Happily ever after helped me by aiding my daughter and I literally at our lowest. Being a young mom with cancer is very different and HEAL noticed that. I was even honored enough to speak at the tea fundraiser. I can’t say enough about HEAL!!❤️
Great people that took a family illness, supported themselves through it and then created an organization dedicated to helping others. Their work is meaningful and comes from a place of love and caring.
I am a proud supporter of H.E.A.L. and it's mission to support mother's going through breast cancer treatment. They have cultivated a wonderful community of support and healing and continue to evolve through the addition of wonderful emotional support animals. As a healthcare provider, I have seen firsthand the benefits of animal therapy in the healing process. I will continue to support H.E.A.L. as they continue their mission for many years to come.
The Happily Ever After League provides joy and support for families experiencing the journey with cancer. Butch and Chance are very zen and we really enjoy having them at our home. The HEAL team is loving, smart and supportive.
HEAL and it’s volunteers are the best! I have supported this organization for years and have been to many functions. They really strive to ease the burden of mothers in cancer recovery, not just financial burdens, but emotional burdens also. I love this organization and will continue to support them as long as they exist
Best non profit ever. I’ve been involved since day 1, and have seen such happiness and relief from the recipients. HEAL brings joy to so many recipients and volunteers. Lauren Daniels, the founder, is tireless as she grows this organization year after year.
From the celebrations at the healing house, the pantry and the Heal farm to the grants, HEAL gives it’s all
While I was going through radiation, and then ended up having to go through surgery again to get a double mastectomy and full hysterectomy. My ex husband decided to play child support games during that time. Healing house helped with some Christmas, and was our only Easter meal and event. My daughter also received a much appreciated $250 scholarship for a College class, and got school supplies. We have really enjoyed being able to go and do crafts. It has been a difficult journey having a chronically ill child, and also having cancer myself, without having family near, due to being relocated to AZ. We are thankful to Heal House!
My daughter also performed for the fundraiser, and it was very touching that they asked her to share her talents.

Wonderful support system when you are dealing with cancer. These wonderful people make you feel like loved family, and you can tell their concern in genuine. I am so thankful that my cancer social worker led me to Healing House. We have loved the crafts, brunches, and being able to get food pantry items.
HEAL has grown to serve the community in so many ways over the years and the addition of Butch the therapy horse was an unforseen bonus. He will bring such a unique experience for people undergoing treatment and their care givers and loved ones as well. This organization never stops looking for new ways to reach out and help heal those in need. Keep up the great work!
This organization has a heart as big if not bigger than it's leader Lauren! She is a true inspiration to show others how coming together for a cause can truly make a difference! As a cancer survivor herself, her compassion is unwavering. HEAL does so much good for those in need, the Mom's struggling to fight their cancer with small children. If you want to make a difference in someone's life, volunteer or donate to this amazing organization!!
The best organization! Proud to donate my time! I have watched this group change lives. It is a giant family.
Amazing group offering various types of support for women facing cancer, allowing them to lessen their burdens. A wonderful place with phenomenonal, empathetic, kind, generous staff.
HEAL is one of our favorite charities we like to volunteer at. They do such great things for Moms with cancer and their families. All year long they support them and have great activities for the kids. Turkey a special organization.
I've been volunteering for HEAL for a few years. All the other volunteers are very kind, hard working, and dedicated to the families they serve at every event and for every need. The families who attend the events are so loving and full of joy they're delightful to be with!
There is no finer organization for supporting women with children while undergoing a cancer diagnosis. My connection to the Happily Ever After League goes back to its humble beginnings and to see it continue to make a difference in so many lives is awe-inspiring. The organization's support is like a hand that wraps around the family and offers support from their help with social services and providing a caring social life. They have created a warm and supporting environment that keeps their promise to all of their moms. I can't say enough about their reputation and love in our community. As a volunteer, I've had the pleasure to help with social events for families, organize their food pantry for families, spend a day with moms and their families just talking and hanging out. For me, HEAL creates smiles for miles that keep me coming back to support their mission and vision. The families get some much-needed respite from a tough time in their lives and HEAL does it well and with love!
HEAL House is an amazing spot for women and their families to simply feel good and be taken care of...my girls and I always love volunteering with them~
I LOVE this organization. My daughters and I have had the opportunity to volunteer at the HEAL house and it is amazing to see the happiness they bring to the families they help!
It has been amazing to watch HEAL grow throughout the years. Being able to help families going through a cancer diagnosis is a wonderful feeling. I've learned so much from the women I've met. It is really amazing to get to connect with different families and give them a sense of community during a difficult time.
My daughters and I love volunteering at HEAL. Whether we’re stocking the food pantry, cleaning the HEAL House, or helping out at a fundraiser, we always feel like we’re contributing to HEAL’s mission, which is helping moms and families coping with cancer. Founder Lauren Daniels is such a compassionate soul, and her kindness permeates throughout the organization. All the staff at HEAL are so friendly to work with. Wonderful local nonprofit!
I love this charity because their volunteers work so diligently to assist mothers recovering from cancer. Who needs more help than a mom?
I love this charity because it truly inspires me to be a better person.
Lauren, the founder is amazing, she keeps giving of herself and doesn't stop, ever! She and her charity have helped hundreds of women with cancer and their families with medical bills, food, clothing and just about anything they need! The Happily Ever After League headed by the amazing Lauren Daniels is just incredible. Lauren keeps giving and never stops. The work she selflessly does for the hundreds of women throughout the years makes me cry each time I read one of their stories. The teas she puts on year after year grew from a little charming tea in a backyard to a elegant fantasy full blown event that is sold out at a five star hotel now that raises thousands of dollars for this truly amazing totally non profit organization that is so unbelievable. You just have to visit the house and Lord Hamilton, the adorable mini piglet that is the Goodwill Ambassador! He is just darling.
My daughters and I have had the pleasure of volunteering at HEAL during the past few years. Seeing the happiness it brings to the families who come to the events is heartwarming. One of our favorite places to volunteer!
Incredible organization and great team of people helping people in need. Great to know this support is out there to help Mom's and families. Keep up the great work!
I have nothing but positive experiences with HEAL! My daughter was sick with Glioblastoma Multiforme (the worst type of brain cancer) for 91/2 years and the Happily Ever After League was there for her everyday of her survival. She spoke at there events and was the most positive person regarding her disease.. The HEAL house was very responsible for her positive outlook. Thank you Lauren Daniels and your wonderful group of volunteers! You were great friends to Deni and I cherish every moment we all got to be together. Hugs to everyone on this great team of women! Love you all!
Lauren and everyone else at HEAL showed amazing compassion, love, generosity, and kindness to me and my daughter during my breast cancer recovery. I cannot even put it into words. Super amazing people, and I met wonderful women who encouraged each other there too.

H.E.A.L. was so quick in responding to my request for assistance. I was so surprised and thankful! During this time of treatment after the whole ordeal of being diagnosed with breast cancer and going through the steps to surgery and raising a young child, I couldn't think clearly. I was blessed when I came across this great organization. I was treated with compassion and welcomed into their organization with open arms. We were invited to a Pumpkinfest and that was truly a fun experience for my daughter and I both. I am eternally thankful for Lauren and everyone else at H.E.A.L.
It was great to be with women who knew how I felt and for my daughter to have fun and see others in same situations as us, happy.
The HEALing House provides wonderful, happy memories for the moms and their families. Along with fun filled events, there is also a food pantry open to the moms to shop.
My daughter and I have had the pleasure of volunteering at HEAL for many years. HEAL offers loving support for mothers and their families dealing with cancer through emotional comfort, financial assistance, a food pantry, back to school program and holiday celebrations. It is evident and so heartwarming to witness that being a part of the HEAL community means that a mother and her family are never alone in coping with cancer.
I began volunteering for the Happily Ever After League, (HEAL), in 2009. Almost immediately I came to understand just how this organization has shown the compassion and care given to women suffering from cancer, and their families. HEAL has lessened the burden for its recipients by subsidizing a medical bill, a utility payment, or rent. It has brought comfort to these families by providing a safe and nurturing environment at the Healing House where recipients and their families can meet and enjoy activities throughout the year such as Easter Egg Hunts, a Thanksgiving Day Feast, Christmas Fun, Mom's Pampering Day, to name a few. HEAL also provides a Pantry with food and other necessities.
I have seen how HEAL has touched the lives of so many in our communities and brought joy into the lives of those suffering from this disease. I am proud to volunteer for such a worthy organization and continue to see it expand its outreach.

Heal helps mothers undergoing cancer treatment. The organization has helped many women both financially and emotionally through the Healing House. It is very easy to volunteer with Heal. They have opportunities to help with their fund raising events and also at the Healing House. The house has a food pantry and it is easy to volunteer by dropping off food items or having a food drive. The Heal family is a very caring family!
I have volunteered and donated to this nonprofit for many years now. I have also had friends call the Happily Ever After League for advice and help after their own cancer diagnosis. Lauren and her team are compassionate, encouraging, and truly are making a difference in these women's lives.
HEAL has given me an opportunity to support my community and the mothers going through cancer treatment.

My daughter and I have volunteered for this group for years. It is amazing what Lauren and the rest of the team do to help women and their families deal with breast cancer and its effects. The FairyTale Tea fundraiser is the most enjoyable fundraiser I have ever attended. The food pantry, in which women can get food for their families at no charge, brings tremendous joy to all involved.
I can not say enough about how much this organization impacted my life while I was going thru cancer treatment as a single mom. From paying bills to giving my son an excellent Christmas to meeting one of my best friends at a survivors movie night there. They have also helped 2 women I know personally. Thank you for being part of my hope in a very dark time!
Lauren Daniels and her staff at HEAL are beyond gracious ambassadors in the fight against cancer. Their events and outreach have tentacles way beyond the event itself. As a survivor herself, Lauren brings legitimacy and grace to the fight that so many women and their families face. They continually create events and cause based outreach that is creative, relevant, dynamic and engaging. From the Heels for HEAL walk to the FairyTale Tea and the home they provide as refuge and food pantry for families, there simply is no other non-profit with a more amazing staff and vision. It has been my honor to attend several events over the years and to watch HEAL build a legacy In Arizona and now, Atlanta. Onwards for HEAL. Bravo!
I could never come up with enough words of love, gratitude, and appreciation for all of the beautiful angels of Happily Ever After League. In 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma 6 months after I lost my son to testicular cancer. So I started seeing a counselor for cancer patients. She knew about losing my son and how I was helping raise 8 of my grandchildren at the same time I was going through cancer treatments. The counselor told me about a wonderful organization that helped women with cancer and she emailed them for me. They helped me right away with a grant to help with rent and food which was a huge blessing! HEAL made Christmas for me and my family amazing by during a time when we really had very little. Me and my grandchildren have continued to be blessed by these amazing women of Happily Ever After League, the food pantry once a month is so wonderful and they even make that a fun event. Although I am now cancer free, but living with health issues from the treatments, they don't turn their back on you. We still are included in the food pantry and all of the wonderful events that these amazing and caring women organize for the families. I am truly blessed for knowing the wonderful team of people at Happily Ever After League and like I said, I could never find enough words of love, gratitude and appreciation to say how much they mean to me, my family and all of the other families that find their way to them too because of an unfortunate diagnosis of cancer. God Bless the team at Happily Ever After League!!!
My children and I have been volunteering for HEAL for several years now. Over the course of that time, we have participated in many events. The amount of joy, peace and value they give to others is beyond compare. It is one of the few charities I feel comfortable donating. There is no question every dime donated goes right back to help those who need it most. It is honestly the most incredible facility I have seen. I am proud to be a volunteer at HEAL. They have helped countess women and their families. Unfortunately, the demand for their services seems to be increasing. They are not backing away from the challenge.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. I was raising 2 small children. I needed some financial help and emotional support. I was devastated and I felt all alone. Then I found HEAL. They helped me financially. I went through 8 surgeries and HEAL was there for every one of them. The time you get to spend with other women, just like you is priceless. Whether we are making crafts or watching our kids enjoy an activity, someone is watching over your every need and theirs. The pantry help is awesome and I have lived and fed my family sometimes solely on pantry food. The care they take in choosing what would be beneficial to families with children , well you can just tell Lauren has put a personal touch into it. Backpacks for school, Moms night out, Eggstravaganza, Mommy and me tea, Thanksgiving dinner, all the events at HEAL house are awesome. They take your mind off of everything. Its hard to get my little guy to leave. At Christmastime, we are especially blessed, with presents for the kiddos and ourselves. Some Christmases these were the only gifts my two little ones received and they were more than enough. Let me not forget the staff and volunteers, truly above board, putting their hearts and souls into everything they do for us. There are no words of thankfulness that I could express that would be enough to show the gratitude that I feel for this organization. Tomorrow, November 6, 2014, I will celebrate 6 years cancer free and of course, I could have done it without HEAL, but I can honestly say I am so glad I didn't have to. The bonds and friendships I have made will be with me forever. Thank you so much for everything Happily Ever After League, you are truly God sent.
Lauren Daniels is my sister in-law and I am proud to say that. Her selfless commitment to those in need has not only inspired me, but most importantly the younger generation of our family. Her role model qualities exemplify to others, that it only takes one to make the world a better place. While H.E.A.L has grown from a grass roots charity status to an organization that makes a big difference in the lives of Mother's battling breast cancer, Lauren has never put herself at front and center stage, she graciously does her good work behind the scenes. The true definition of a giver through and through.

I continue to volunteer and donate because Happily Ever After League makes a difference in this world.
An amazing organization lead by a truly giving amazing women. Lauren Daniels and the volunteers that support HEAL have touched the lives of mothers and ther families who are recovering from cancer surgery or treatment. HEAL works with the mothers in so many different ways to make their lives easier.
I have seen the changes in these mothers and the tears of joy for the help that HEAL has provided.
I had heard amazing things from many people about HEAL House and it's founder Lauren Daniels. They give needed support both financially and emotionally to moms with cancer and their families. I also was able to participate in the HEAL Fairytale Tea this year. What an experience that was! I look forward to many more years supporting this amazing organization so that they may continue doing the good work that they do.
My husband and I have been donors to HEAL for 5 years. Our good friend and neighbor is a breast cancer survivor and received support from HEAL. We have attended yearly fundraisers, including the annual HEAL tea. We know how much HEAL supports women & their families in so many ways; financially & spiritually. Lauren Daniels, the founder & cancer survivor is a woman full of love. What a blessing it is for any woman battling cancer to have HEAL. Thank you for all you have done & all you will continue to do!
Every opportunity I get to volunteer at the HEAL house I am in. It is the most wonderful organization that was founded by a very special individual, Lauren Daniels, who is a breast cancer survivor herself. How she is giving back to other women struggling with cancer is amazing. I am so happy to be a part of as many activities as I can at the HEAL house!
Lauren Daniels and H.E.A.L. have been a blessing to so many moms with cancer and their families in the valley! Together with her faithful volunteers they meet needs like no other non-profit has ever attempted do. Our family has been touched in a very personal way. My sister-in-law Suzanne battled breast cancer for 14 long years while raising 2 kids. She was awarded a H.E.A.L. grant which she used to pay for her transportation to and from her many doctor and chemo visits. Like many cancer patients in a wheelchair, transportation is complicated and costly. Without H.E.A.L. I just don't know what we would have done! Thank you H.E.A.L.!!!
Heal is an organization that is run by some truly special people whom I've come to know when my wife was diagnosed with cancer seven years ago. I've been so fortunate to lend my time back to Heal and will continue to do so because they provide real help and support to all these wonderful moms going through such tough times.

This charity was started by a wonderful woman who knows first hand what going through breast cancer means. This is an awesome grassroots charity that helps women and their families in our community. I am honored to be a part of Happily Ever After League, Inc. and look forward to being of service in for many years to come.
I have been involved with Heal since its inception. The founder has exceeded her expectations in bringing both financial and emotional support to Moms undergoing Cancer treatments, after finding out first hand at the age of 35 with 3 small children, a devoted husband and a loving family, how devastating the diagnosis itself can be. Besides financial help, there is a food pantry at the Healing House , which is open to the families once a month, along with many fun and relaxing activities for the Moms and families throughout the year, and Holiday Parties. There are several fund raisers throughout the year which are always enjoyed by all who attend. Lauren had a Mission, and has proved thru relentless devotion and a truly caring heart that she has for achieved her desire to help Moms with Cancer during and after surgery and treatment..
As a mother of 3 battling stage lV lung cancer, living in a new state; I was referred to HEAL by a fellow chemo patient. As I joined the welcoming arms of the HEAL family I have made many friends. Attending events that are held gives me a chance to talk to other mothers & children about dealing with cancer. I really enjoy being able to share my stories & fight with people that truely understand what we are going through.
I was told about this organization the month that I was diagnosed. Which was June of last year. I was so overwhelmed with bills that first month from all of the testing and copays that I applied for help. They paid a bill for me and began inviting me to pantry days. Just paying that one bill took so much off of me. I was always unable to make the pantry days, but I did attend a Survivors movie night at the HEAL house in December. It was a few weeks after my surgeries and it was such a nice evening.
Also in December they gave both myself and my son Christmas gifts. These were not just cheap unusable gifts, but ones we actually were so excited for and used. My son had a wonderful Christmas that I would not have been able to provide. Attending the Heels For HEAL walk this year was one of the highlights of my year. Thank you so much for all of your help and your love.
I've been battling with this breast cancer since 2012. Im also, a mother of young children. My youngest was 3 when I was diagnosed with BC. My husband is the only one working a paycheck to paycheck, going nowhere job. We applied for state assistance, and were DENIED repeatedly. H.E.A.L. stepped up and assisted us with funds to get daycare on the days that I was just too sick to tend my kids.(my husband was bringing him to work with him) They have also helped my older boys get school supplies and backpacks. Im not certain they would have gotten new ones without H.E.A.L. Christmas was a HUGE blessing. They gave my kids above and beyond at Chrismas. There were so many presents in my car when I left. I was in tears the whole way home. To know that people truely understand all aspects of what I was going through, touched my soul. I think there was even one month that we were short on food and H.E.A.L. invited us to their pantry day. Words will NEVER explain the feelings of comfort this place brought to my whole family.
The Happily Ever After League ( HEAL ) is a grass-roots organization. It is one of the few organizations that year-after-year does not lose sight of it's mission. It seems like so many of the larger organizations eventually devolve into politics, and fund-raising becomes the major objective of the organization, not actually helping clients. HEAL remains "small but mighty" in the sense that helping clients is the main objective.

I am a Board Member for Happily Ever After League for the last 3 years. I believe that the staff are truly motivated to help women with cancer to make it through their roughest times while they're receiving chemo and other treatment. The money that is donated goes almost exclusively to the recipients.
The HEAL organization was a great help in dealing with my sister's breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. My sister was first diagnosed in November of 2005. The mother of one of her friends told her about HEAL. She and her husband called and were immediately assisted financially, but were also informed of all that they had to offer cancer patients and survivors.
HEAL organizes many events throughout each month that families can participate in as well as come together to share their struggles and successes. The majority of the events are kid friendly, and I can attest to their effectiveness of teaching my very young niece about cancer as well as affording her the ability to be among other kids who have mother's with cancer.
My sister was again diagnosed in November of 2006. She opted to have a total mastectomy, and HEAL was again there to assist in any way she needed.
HEAL is a wonderful organization and should be recognized as such.
I know the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on a family because my wife was diagnosed at the age of 35. HEAL helps with practical every day support to ease the burden of cancer. They really do everything thay can to lift up the mothers they serve.
I am proud to call myself a volunteer and supporter for HEAL. I witness this fantastic organization provide both emotional and financial assistance, as well as being a wealth of network support to moms dealing with cancer. I thoroughly enjoy being able to interact with moms and their families through the various activites held at the HEALing house, making care packages, and adopting families during the holidays. The staff and volunteers at HEAL are not only supportive to each member of the families, they also are extraoordinarily compassionate and nurturing during a very difficult time.
I have volunteered for HEAL since it started. My role is primarily at the HEALing House now. I am the Pantry co ordinator. It is so amazing to see the families come to the HEALing House and have a day to just forget about a cancer diagnosis. We offer so many programs to them. It is such a up lifting experience. Our Pantry is fully stocked and we are now adding fresh fruits and vegetables. We never turn a family away. I am truly honored to be able to help these families while fighting such a devastating disease.
I have worked with HEAL since it was founded by Lauren. It's mission is
to help Moms with dependant children, as she goes through cancer treatment and recovery. It is a wondful organization--actually working with the Moms and their entire family. Many of the recipients come back
to work with HEAL after their recovery to "give back". This is a testimony
to the accomplishments of HEAL. The volunteer family is amazing, clocking many hours to this non profit. I am proud to be affiliated
with HEAL.
Nobody understands motherhood like other Moms and this organization gives woman diagnosed with cancer who have dependent children a cash grant to help them with what they need. This is obviously different for each woman and can help pay an electric bill or buy groceries! Not much in overhead, just people working to help women diagnosed with a devastating disease.
I can't begin how to tell you how much this organization has helped my family through 2 fights against breast cancer. From helping to pay co-pays for my radiation treatments to welcoming my family to a Easter egg hunt at the HEALing house. The love and support that my family and I received helped us through the most difficult thing we ever faced.
