Mission: Cesapu - centro de salud publica focuses on an integral, holistic approach to health and human development in a small, low-income peri-urban community. Led by two global health advocates, rosa sanchez, a nurse from peru, and katie baric, mph from the united states, and supported by a team of over two dozen local professionals, cesapu aims to tackle at the very core, in a very practical sense, some of the most common cultural, social, and emotional barriers to sdg #3: good health and wellbeing. Cesapu is a public health center that offers family medicine consultations and hosts health campaigns so that the most marginalized populations can receive access to quality health care and health education in a country with a weak health system. In addition to expanding healthcare access, we have established 5 community public health programs: zumba challenge, mother's knitting club, girls club, happy kids club, and creative boys club.
