Dan, Brittany, and Juli - Great job with another great event! Thank you for all of your hard work. The event was very well organized and we were happy to help.
This is an amazing group of people. I have known some family to receive their services and these people are genuine. They would give their right hand to help anyone in need. Thanks Julie and Brittany!
As a single mother, it is very important that I have a reliable way to get to work to support my daughter and get her to all of her activities. Hands of the Carpenter helps me by providing a place that I can go to for repairs that I can trust. Too many times, car repair places look at a single woman with limited knowledge of cars and will take advantage of us. This never happens with Hands of the Carpenter. Also, they provide no cost repairs to single mothers in need. I have used their free car care clinics to give me the peace of mind that my car is running fine and keep an eye on the things that might need attention.
Hands of the Carpenter is a non-profit group-agency-service that helps and empowers women! I have seen this service grow from something small to something bigger with great community and business involvement. Not only does Hands help women, but it teaches women how to do it, also! For instance, Hands holds car clinics to teach women the 'how to' of car care: checking out the inner workings of the auto, and then showing, and then doing! By having a reliable auto, these women can find a job, and get to the job, and keep the job! In addiiton to providing the services above, Hands also becomes a 'Friend' to these ladies, and can assist with networking!
I have the privilege of volunteering with Hands of the Carpenter at their car clinics periodically. Hands is an amazing organization - servants who reach out and care for single parents in practical and meaningful ways. I cannot think of a better way to invest my time and financial resources. I am grateful for the Hands staff and volunteers as they serve people in need.
Hands of the Carpenter has been amazing to work with. I am a single mom with minimal means. Car repairs tend to fall to the bottom of the list where my finances are concerned, but at the same time I love having a safe and reliable vehicle. I drive a lot of miles every month and rely tremendously on my car. Hands of the Carpenter changed my brakes, spark plugs and numerous other things. They change my oil regularly. They had a class on a Saturday about how to take care of my car with a focus on preventative maintenance. They always treat me with respect and Juli has so much enthusiasm for the program for single moms and widows. I always feel welcome there and really enjoy going to the shop. Ray always schedule things when it is convenient for me. I have so little time to fit things like car repairs into my life, but he makes it easy. I feel valued as a human being whenever I'm in contact with anyone there. The whole thing has been an amazing experience. I cannot say enough good things about Hands of the Carpenter and everyone I have met there. I am so grateful.
I am a single mom and Hands of the Carpenter repaired my car at a reduced price focusing on things that were of concern regarding safety. I had saved up some money to repair my car but new that the cost would be much greater than what I had and what I could afford. Hands of the Carpenter did a full evaluation of my car and let me know what they would fix. It was so amazing to have my car fixed, to have someone help me and not have to do everything all by myself, to not have to worry when I got in my car in the morning, and to know that my girls were safe. Hands of the Carpenter was truly an answer to prayer. It is a great organization - kind, trustworthy and generous.
